Lower Hawkstor Farm is a traditional, late Georgian 1830s double-fronted granite Farmhouse set within half an acre of grounds and provides far reaching views of Bodmin Moor. The property is ideally located between the North and South Cornish coastline. Within a 20 minute drive you can be in the popular fishing towns of Padstow or Fowey, with picture-postcard beaches of Constantine Bay and beyond easily accessible.

Internally, the Farmhouse is traditionally furnished complete with wood burning stove and a Cornish granite fireplace. Externally, the property is set within half an acre of rural grounds with a private walled garden and log barn for outdoor storage.

The pretty Cornish village of Blisland is close by with a traditional award winning pub, cycling on the Camel Trail, fishing, stunning walks and nature trails and horse riding. Also nearby is the beautiful village of St Breward which features a pub, shop, village hall and stunning scenery.

Padstow has many activities on offer such as sailing, fishing and surfing or for those looking for fine cuisine, why not indulge yourself in one of our local restaurants run by celebrity chefs such as Rick Stein or Jamie Oliver with world class reputations.

Fowey is home to many good local restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to choose from in the centre of Fowey and if you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a boat or sailing trips.

Also in the area:

Some excellent attractions are within easy access for a day out including the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan or for surfing enthusiasts, take a trip to the North coastal town of Newquay. Here the world famous Fistral Beach is sure to offer some spectacular waves.

Siblyback Lake is located on the South East edge of Bodmin Moor where as well as admiring the scenery you can go windsurfing, sailing and kayaking. For those keen for fishing, trout fishing is available. In addition there is a new cycling and walking path which is suitable for all ages.

Colliford Lake, located just South of The Jamaica Inn pub is a tranquil lake providing some excellent moorland walks and picnic area for s spot of lunch. The Nature Reserve is an important site for birdlife and the lake offers traditional fly fishing for natural brown trout and is regarded as Cornwall's premier brown trout fishery.

Lower Hawkstor Farm is ideally located for exploring Bodmin Moor, one of the most un-spoilt landscapes in Cornwall. The Jamaica Inn is a must for those staying in the area. A hotel and pub made famous by Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name and is often referred to as Cornwall’s most famous smuggling inn. The Inn is Cornwall’s legendry coaching house featuring a smugglers museum where you can learn about the evil yet romantic era of smuggling and also watch the history film to learn more in the cinema room.
