A nice, two bedroom house located in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood with little traffic. You are just two miles from the beaches and Manasota Key and close to local shops, restaurants and golf courses. Englewood Hospital is just 4 blocks north on Pine St. Modern kitchen with breakfast bar. Master bedroom with queen bed, guest room with twin beds, and one bathroom with tub/shower. Living room with seating for five, Sun room with patio. Carport, and laundry room with washer & Dryer. Gas Grill. This was our first home in Englewood so we equipped it for ourselves. Pets permitted by arrangement. This is a non smoking house.

Englewood is a small seaside town on the Gulf of Mexico, located between Sarasota and Ft Myers, just south of the town of Venice, on the North side of Charlotte Harbor. Englewood is a quiet, laid-back community, and offers miles of long sandy beaches, great fishing and a selection of good local restaurants. There are nice artist's galleries on Dearborn St. nearby and a variety of good mall shopping within a half hour drive. No high rises here, just old fashioned Florida. You will enjoy the natural flora and fauna. There are two Nature Parks in town, fun for walking, and nature tours with the staff. One even has an Eagle's nest, and you are sure to see Gopher Turtles. You will see Sandhill Cranes, Wood Storks and lots of Great Blue herons. Two major Florida State Parks are close by for the dedicated bird watcher. Fishing is everyone's sport, either from the beach or from one of the fishing piers. In the summer from May to October there are Sea-Turtle nests along the beaches.

12/23/06-1/1/07 We were blessed with the opportunity to take a family vacation (one we had not had in 10+ yrs)and feel doubly blessed that we came across Alec's house to rent! The house was absolutely perfect for us. Everything we needed was right there. The house is charming, decorated in traditional Floridian flair and definitely makes you feel at home. The location in Englewood is perfect for exploring the Southern gulf coast. We traveled up to Sarasota and also down to Ft. Myers, Sanibel and Captiva. These were day trips without too much driving. All in all we were extremely pleased with our stay and we will definitely be back! Thanks Alec!

We enjoyed our month stay in Englewood. The area is quiet, but had everything that we enjoy. The golf and beaches were great. The home we stayed in was neat, CLEAN, and very well equipped. I kept thinking I could easily entertain with such a well equipped kitchen. Would reccommed to our family and friends. Alec supplied lots of information concerning the area which we found helpful.

We had a wonderful time away from the winter and missed the snow of the century.

At time at this home was very relaxing and the best way to spend the winter. The is convenient to everything in Englewood. We think Englewood is the best kept secret on the FL west coast.

Thanks for a wonderful time, hope we can do it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending the month of April, 2005 in Englewood, Florida. The weather was perfect everyday. We appreciated the convenient location of the house to shopping, beaches, restaurants, etc. The house was clean, well-furnished, comfortable and located in a quiet and safe area. It was a pleasure to have our two schnauzers with us on vacation and Alex was very accomodating as a landlord. He phoned upon our arrival to ensure that everything was satisfactory. Englewood is a beautiful and unspoiled area. It was wonderful to walk on beaches that were natural and not over-developed and commercial. We would love to return to Englewood next year for longer.
