Beach front, opposite the famous lagoon which is protected by a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) containing rare species including sea horses! In view of the Chesil Bank and beech and Small Mouth beach and the Olympic sailing venue- Weymouth and Portland sailing Academy, Portland Harbour and the dramatic landscape of Portland in the near distance.
Olympic venue is walking distance or cycle in 10 minutes.
The Ferry Bridge Pub is opposite which has live music and excellent food and a very successful dive school.
The award winning Crab House restaurant is very close, serving fresh seafood locally caught and oysters farmed from the Lagoon.
Portland Harbour is a mecca for kite-surfing and wind-surfing due to its shallows and safe waters, there are miles of beaches some sandy and excellent walking and mountain bike paths that take you either along the Lagoon to Abbotsbury or into Portland or Weymouth.
Great for kayaking and sailing, whether organised via several local schools or from the house, all without having to load a car.

Lots of local walking and hiking trails and great for bird watching from the balcony of the property, including rare nesting Turns. The very local wildlife centre is not to be missed.

Portland Spa is great for most modern beauty treatments, also several forts and historic places to explore not least the amazing quarry sculpture park and incredible views.
Weymouth Town is close with 100's of shops, historic pubs and first class restaurants.
