Accessible by boat, the island is just minutes from the mainland. This beautifully decorated home boasts of brand new reconstruction following the aftermath of Hurricane Charley. The Pelican is LOCATED RIGHT ON THE WATER!!! Come watch the spectacular sunrises on the bay side or the ocean side atop a 50' widow's walk overlooking amazing Gulf of Mexico sunsets. On our secluded beaches, you can shell, fish, swim, watch the dolphins and manatees at play or the antics of the fabulous waterbirds. Imagine your own private swimming and fishing dock with abundant snook underneath! Whether you plan to spend a week, month or season we can accommodate your every need. Upper Captiva features three restaurants, golf cart rentals, boat rentals, bike rentals, deep sea fishing and much more. Non smoking but pets are permitted with additional deposit.

This was one of my best vacations ever! I didn't need a vacation, after my vacation. There was no "rush, rush, rush", until it came to the sunset, because you don't want to miss that from the deck on the roof...amazing, that's all I can say. We were able to fish from our own dock and my Husband even caught our dinner a couple of times. One of the coolest things was that a dolphin came within 2 feet of us while we were swimming right in front. I even got to finish 2 books I've been dying to read. We left invigorated and planning our next trip to the Pelican Brief. Thanks Jim for everything, we'll be back.
