The apartment is located in a historical Palazzo dated 1700, has internal frescos, is full of light and faces internal garden, very quiet!
Our family of 5 stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. The location of the apartment was on a quiet street and was only steps away from a market and a wonderful pastry shop, Caffe Rainer. The Mercato Centrale was only about 5 minutes away, as was the Gallerie dell'Accademia. All of the major sites and shopping were easily within walking distance, including the main train and bus station. The apartment itself was exactly as described, comfortable and spacious and well appointed. Elisabetta provided so much helpful information about places to eat and sites to see, as well as day trips into towns in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence and in this apartment. One recommendation, though, is if you leave the windows open, use the plug in mosquito repellant or just don't open the windows! I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience Florence in an authentic way. Thank you Elisabetta, for your wonderful apartment!
Great apartment, perfect location, everything was walking distance, Elisabetta was wonderful and had all the necessary information about Florence, including good restaurants, supermarket is right next to the apartment and market centrale 5 minutes walk.
We planned and stayed at this fantastic apartment for five nights and had the best holiday ever !!
Everything we needed and more was available in the apartment, It was clean, cosy and the beds were really comfy.
It's located in the city center really close to every sights, and 10 min walk from the train station, so we visited Pisa and Sienna from there!
elisabetta welcomed us warmly with many suggestion.
There is a very good vegetarian restaurant just few steps from the door, and a bakery Pugi that Elisabetta suggested us where we bought delicious bread and pizza.
Definetly we'll come back in this amazing apartment!
We stayed for 3 nights and overall our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed a lot of Florence.
Location: This location was a little bit farther from the city center than we would have originally liked. It is about 5 smaller blocks from San Marco square which is the main hub for bus stops.. Thankfully, we had the Firenze pass so this was useful in getting around by bus. Also, the Accademia museum is about a 5-7 minute walk from the apartment. There are a few restaurants near the apartment and a grocery store just a few doors down. The nice thing about being further from the city center was that the apartment was very quiet. We stayed in downtown Florence last year (on via del corsa) and got NO sleep because of the noise. This location was a nice, quiet break from the busyness of downtown but still close enough for a quick walk to the bus stop. Also, it is just 2 quick bus stops from Santa Maria Novella train station.
Rooms: The rooms we very bright, clean, and comfortable for the most part. The two twin-sized beds in one of the bedrooms kept breaking. My Mom would lay down on it and there would be a loud pop as the slats underneath would come out causing the bed to sink down. This was so uncomfortable for my parents that they had to move their mattress onto the floor on the last night we were there. Both rooms have large closets to hang stuff and also have separate AC units which worked great.
Bathroom: The bathroom was clean and very functional. The shower was larger than most European places and the water pressure was good.
Kitchen: The kitchen was functional and many items were stocked including sugar, salt, pepper, oil for cooking, utensils for cooking, pots and pans, microwave, fridge and freezer. The only thing I needed was a vegetable peeler but I just used a knife.
Price: The price was very good for what we got. Since there are two rooms, we split the price per couple and it was very reasonable. A lot cheaper than staying downtown and you get a lot more for the price.
Staff: Elisabetta was there when we arrived, checked us in and showed us the apartment. We also had a problem with the WiFi and within a few hours she had gotten back to us with a solution. She was also flexible enough to let us leave our bags in the room after check out time so that we could have another day of touring without our luggage.
Overall, I would suggest this place to friends and would stay there again as long as the two twin bed slats get repaired.
