Completely furnished, antique-filled home, includes new front-load washer, dryer, forced-air heat and comfortable beds. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee pot, crock-pot, utensils, collectibles, old-fashioned pantry, and authentic New England cookware. Towle flatware, antique-style china and stemmed glassware for casual or gourmet country dining. There are a telephone and PIANO in the parlor, and the cheerful family room has a large bay window with forest view, big screen cable TV/VCR, radio, CD and DVD players. Outdoors there is a picnic table and a hilltop bench for quiet reflection. There are four comfortable bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one on each floor. The front porch, with its inviting rockers, offers an unhindered, stunning view of Kinsman Mountain. The teak beach on the south knoll is bordered by flower-filled whiskey barrels and is perfect for quiet reflection.
Guests will love the house’s proximity to nearby hiking trails, rock climbing, swimming, boating, fishing, biking on quiet country roads, horseback riding, birding and wildlife viewing, country-inn dining, golf and tennis! Our returning guests rave about the charming decor and excellent housekeeping. This charming country home is beautifully decorated and updated with all modern amenities. Its white clapboard siding, green shutters and Yankee window, exude old-fashioned New England charm. Situated on 2 acres, atop a gently rolling knoll, the large yard is surrounded by forest, rural solitude and a sweeping view of Kinsman Mountain.
Other nearby activities include, soaring plane airport, kayaking, canoeing, antiquing, and fabulous fall foliage. The house is 15 minutes from Cannon Mt. Ski Area, 30 minutes from Loon Mountain, plus many other ski areas (all 2 hours or less.)
