This cozy and romantic 65 square meters apartment is located on the top floor of an ancient building in the heart of Trastevere. The flat is bright and elegant and has been furnished with distinctive refinements: the cotto tiles floor, the beam ceiling and the fireplace create a warm atmosphere. It comprises a large living room with dining area and sofa bed for two, a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and bathtub. There is also a small balcony. The apartment, even though is located in the heart of Trastevere, is very quiet. The modern furnishing is perfectly combined with the classic style of the environment. This charming accommodation combined with its peculiar location makes it the ideal choice for your holiday.

Location right next to several nice bars, restaurants and small markets. The apartment is very quiet despite being close to a lot of late night hangouts. Upon arrival, Massimo, the manager, was extremely helpful and provided us with a map and suggested restaurants and places to visit. Understanding how small apartments are in central Rome, the place is actually good size especially for 2 people. The kitchen is a bit small but well supplied for cooking.
This is an unbeatable location in a gorgeous area of Rome in a Classic Italian apartment. Everything one would need is available and Massimo and Lucrezia were happy to accommodate special requests. It is a charming, wee little apartment and the bed is incredibly comfy.. Our biggest challenge, combined with the wonderful area nightlife, was waking up before noon!
Things are small, be aware, but not so much that you don't appreciate the charm of using space to its fullest and appreciating the culture. The ACs were super powered for warm days, and kept us more than comfortable in the evenings. Our cute little terrace, while without view, gives a lovely way to enjoy the waning evening sun.
Trastevere becomes UNBElLIEVABLY crowded at night with a vibrant nightlife that continues well into the early morning, but incredibly, we could not hear a single sound in our lovely quiet apartment
I stayed in this charming and very conveniently-located apartment for four weeks. The rental agency is very responsive, and the rental process, check-in and out went very smoothly. I used the pickup service from the airport, which was very convenient, but went to the airport the day I left by train from the Trastevere train station, a short bus ride away. Everything is within walking distance from this apartment, which made my stay very convenient. The area of Trastevere is very lively, with many restaurants and charming little shops. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, and quiet, despite being right in the midst of four bars. The bed was indeed uncomfortable, so after two nights I asked if I could have a new mattress cover and got a new mattress instead, which is very comfortable. The pull out sofa is fine for one person (I slept on it when some friends were visiting), but it's not the greatest for two (they slept there the first night).
There is a problem with the floor getting wet when having a shower. This is because the ceiling slopes and the shower curtain doesn't go all the way across. I got tired of mopping up the floor after each shower, so I eventually just sat under the tap in the tub (much tidier). I'm very short, so the sloping ceilings weren't a problem for me (though there is a section in the kitchen that is very low). However, for anyone over five foot two, you have to duck each time you walk to the fridge, and for taller people, ducking going through doorways is also required. I didn't mind walking up the steps (55 in all), but for some it could be difficult. All in all, the apartment worked out very well for me.
This is a wonderful location for an authentic Roman experience! We used the driver service on arrival and again for departure...though more expensive than a taxi, it was convenient and reliable. The apartment was pretty much as advertised, though some services that other "homes away" would provide, were not included here. Though we were there for 8 nights, the linens were not changed midway through our stay. The kitchen was pretty well appointed, but for those Americans considering this unit, a coffee maker is an espresso pot on the stove. A microwave would have been a nice compliment, though there might not be an easy way to incorporate one in the small but serviceable kitchen. The ceilings in the apartment are very low in the kitchen and bathroom. Very tall people should consider another unit. Also, it is not well suited for older or less fit persons, as it is fully three full stories of stairs to get inside. A BIG plus is that it is a very secure location, very quiet even on the nights of World Cup...where lots of celebrating happened on the square outside the entry door. Overall, the apartment is nicely appointed, though the bed was like sleeping on just a box spring. (My rule is that there should be plenty of "soft" furniture, not just "stick" in the living space...which in this case was just wonderful.) To answer the "tips"...the description was accurate, the property was clean and well maintained, we did not receive all of the requested information (like where the closest ATM was and where to find a grocer), though the arrival consultant did provide great information about local restaurants and sight seeing. We would recommend this property to younger people, or a family with older children. The sofa bed would accommodate one or two people, but the bath would be a stretch with very limited ability to dry used towels. There were several local restaurants which we very much enjoyed...and we left the business cards on a "tree" for future apartment renters to review. As a suggestion, the owner/manager of the apartment might put together their own book with instructions on how to run the clothing washer, where the restaurants with good reps are to be found, and where the ATMs and Grocery stores and Markets are located/open. It would save their representative some time at check-in too. Thank you for a great visit!
The best thing about this apartment is the location! It's just on the edge of the Trastevere neighborhood, a stone's throw from Ponte Sisto pedestrian bridge. That gave us walking access to all of Trastevere, Vatican City, central Rome and the Colosseum/Forum. We took a cab to the Borghese museum but walked back. The only downside is that it's above several pubs that remain quite busy until the wee hours (at least on Friday/Saturday nights). Fortunately the windows/terrace are on the back side of the building so the noise was not that objectionable.
The apartment itself was charming and clean. We had none of the troubles listed in another review--plumbing/hot water was fine and the bed was comfortable. Our daughter used the pull-out sofa bed and had no complaints. It's on the top floor and so was quiet, though be advised there is no lift. Only complaint was that the kitchen has a ceiling that slopes down. Several bumped heads taught us to be careful! That said, it was well furnished and we cooked dinner most nights. We did most of our shopping at the Despar market directly across Ponte Sisto but also found a slightly larger one a few blocks north on Vicolo della Moretta. There is also a "farmer's" market in the mornings in Trastevere at Piazza di San Cosimato as well as numerous "mini" markets with essentials on seemingly every block.
The booking and check-in process was very easy and simple. Despite the fact that one of the staff called in sick and someone else had to cover (thanks, Emanuele!) we were able to get the keys early on the day we arrived. The staff was extremely accommodating throughout our stay and arranged to "check out" and return our deposit the day before we left as we had an early morning flight. We also took advantage of their recommended driver to get to and from the airport to avoid hassles with taxis or other transport.
The day we arrived we took a 4-hour walking "food tour" of about a dozen Trastevere culinary attractions booked through Eating Italy Tours. More than just "samples", I almost could not finish all the food and wine they put in front of us! Sunday mass at St. Peters was moving and not nearly as crowded as when we toured the Vatican museums on Wednesday. Taverna Trilusa, just a couple blocks from the apartment had great food but made reservations if you want to dine out on the Terrace.
We would definitely recommend the apartment and the booking agency--they have many other properties in Rome and were great!
There was a lot of good and a little bad with this apartment. The property managers were very communicative and easy to get in touch with. The apartment is in the absolute best location in Rome and the living area is very comfortable. While we were there, the apartment had a plumbing issue that I would assume was fixed, but every time we would take a shower the bathroom flooded and there was never enough hot water for two showers in the morning. The bed was really uncomfortable and you could feel the springs through the top of it. The terrace is really just a small patio, not really anyplace you would want to spend any time. That said, I don't think I would rent this particular apartment again. I would rent something else in the Trestevere area though.
While Rome seduces with its extraordinary monuments, Trastevere captures the traveler's heart. It is the most authentic and characteristic District within the Historic Center, the perfect place to glimpse the old world while enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. Often described as Bohemian, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to the old, narrow, winding, cobblestone streets. Homes decorated with flower boxes and clinging ivy interlace with coffee bars, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
The apartment is located in one of those small streets, next to the river and few meters away from the Tiberina Island. Thanks to its strategic location, you can reach within walking distance many astonishing places such as Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Imperial Forum, the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. Following the river Tiber for 15 minutes you may reach the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. Passing through this magical place, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step.
