Charming farmhouse in the hills of the upper part of the Arno Valley, in a privileged position that combines the peace and tranquillity of this place with the possibility of going on short trips, thanks to the good roads in the valley that connect Arezzo and the charming Arno Valley. The beautiful, recently renovated farmhouse is the ideal accommodation for those who wish to leave the deafening noise and frenetic pace of modern life behind. From here you can admire the marvellous view of the valley below in all its outstanding beauty, where natural beauty remains pure and unspoiled. Around the house there is a large fenced garden equipped with garden furniture, table tennis and barbecue, and a beautiful swimming-pool (5 x 10m, depth 1,40m). The house has been sensibly and comfortably furnished with period furniture. It has satellite T.V. In the small hut next to the house there is a small shop with typical local produce for guests' exclusive use. The road to the house (about 1.5km) is quite steep in parts but is nonetheless practicable with any type of car. The villa is endowed with solar panels which make it independent from traditional energy resources making the most of its ecological value. The house could be suitable for rentals to bigger parties considering that a few meter far there is the house ARCOBALENO (sleeps 10) belonging to the same owner.
Old village built on a rocky ledge with several streams and rivers running through it , the Ciuffenna is its main river. Walking through the streets of the centre you can see how the village’s life has always been linked to this river. The main road passes over a bridge and there is also a mill with stone millstones for grinding different grains from the surrounding countryside. At the top of the village there is the parish church of Maria Assunta, mentioned and documented since the 13th century and enlarged in the 14th century. It incorporates one of the wall towers of the village. The lower part known as the “FONDACCIO” contains the oldest residential buildings connected by little streets, steps, little squares and covered passages giving the village a timeless atmosphere. Inside the village is the museum dedicated to Venturino Venturi which houses important works by the artist in an excellently restored building. The beautiful Pieve of Gropina is just outside the village, surrounded by a small cluster of houses.
