In the small town of Casas del Monte, located in the Valle del Ambroz, in the province of Cáceres (Extremadura, Spain), famed for its delicious strawberries and cherries, cottages are located in a place of extraordinary natural simplicity, half traslasierra foot of the mountains (to 750m. altitude) in northern Extremadura, specifically in the area called 'Swiss Extremadura'. A quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lush vegetation of native trees: alder, chestnut, oak and rebuellos among others. Beside the wide throat, the continuous murmur of water clashing against the rocks causes the traveler dreamy evocations that can start with a visit to the Roman archaeological sites along the Via de la Plata (or Ruta de la Plata).
