Frances is an Architect, and made her mark on the house, while husband Murf is a musician. Both are born and bred Londoners, and happy to share their knowledge of the town with you.

We came across this house when we were tipped off about the area. It is really leafy and the gardens are stacked with trees and plants, including fruit trees, and there are lots of wild birds. It is an unusual road in the area, as there are large detached and semi-detached houses of differing designs.
The house is unbelievably spacious, every room has grand proportions. I have opened up the Living Room spaces with double doors between the two, to create a wonderful open space from front to back of the house and views of the garden. The views from every room on every floor both front and back are pleasing. In the spring and summer the view of the garden is incredible. The view is so screened by trees and plants that you cannot see another house!
We booked this house for a group of friends to meet up and head out in to London over the weekend. It is a fantastic house, with a great kitchen, dining area and huge living space, all furnished beautifully and comfortably - the photos don't do the place justice! It was absolutely spotless but felt like a warm home. Can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks to Frances for a fantastic weekend!
We stayed in the house for two weeks in July, and we really enjoyed it. The house is very spacious, clean and beautifully furnished and felt really homely.

I rented this house to host a reunion weekend. Ten of us stayed over comfortably and a couple more joined for dinner. It is a beautiful house in a fantastic location, and the owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. They have thought of everything visitors might need for a flexible and relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this house, and couldn't find anything that even came close to it on my search.
I rented this incredible home for the weekend for my friend's hen weekend. All 9 of us that stayed did not want to leave! Frances and her husband are brilliant hosts and made us feel extremely welcome and relaxed and were more than happy to help with any questions or with providing any information. All rooms are of a great size, all beautifully presented and furnished, immaculate and very comfortable. The listing description is completely accurate. We had a dinner party on one evening and hired a private chef and had more guests join us who were not staying and every person who came to the house was equally as blown away as us at how incredible it was.
A lovely family feel to the street and amazingly peaceful. Great bus stop only a few minutes walk away at the end of the road which was really useful.
I could not recommend this property enough, everything about it is absolutely fantastic! Thank you Frances and family, it's a weekend that none of us will forget.
We totally enjoyed our stay in this spacious home. Stayed for three weeks with my mother, four children and two nannies. There was adequate room for all. Very good transport links into sloane square. Neighbours were extremely kind and helpful. Our only worry was the white walls and white linen with small children but we managed okay. The lovely owner Frances left toiletries in all the bathrooms, we will certainly visit again.
We were staying in this house with friends (2 families=4 adults+4 kids) for a few days. We really loved everything about the house. It is spacious, and bright and nicely refurbished, very warm (people lives there when not rented), beds are great so we had quite a good sleep :-). The area is quite OK - the street is quite peaceful, Streatham centre is close with many shops, bars, restaurants, railway station is few minutes walk - everything shown/described in the ad was correct. And the owners, Frances and Murf, were quite friendly and useful with advices and approach. Overall - highly recommendable house for staying in London, and we would definitely love to come back again.
Situated off Tooting Bec Common, No 25 is a large detached Victorian house in a quiet residential street of characterful grand individual period properties.
The house is well located for travel into central London, with Streatham Railway Station running trains direct to Kings Cross and Central London, and a 20 minute train ride on the northern line to Central London from Tooting Bec Underground Station, just a 5 minute bus ride up the road.
Or you may like to explore the area by foot. This is a very leafy part of London, and you can discover the three Commons, Wandsworth, Clapham and Tooting, if you don't mind treading a bit of pavement between them. We would be happy to give you some suggestions for days out locally and in Central London, and there will be an Information Booklet at the house when you arrive that should give you most of the information you may need.
With Tooting Bec Common on your doorstep, there is easy access to Tooting Lido for outdoor swimming, tennis courts (booking required) and a good children's playground in the park.
Balham is only a 5 minute drive away, with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars, aswell as Live Theatre and music at the Bedford Arms.
The house is arranged over three floors with a large Living Room, a Library, a Kitchen Dining Room and Conservatory at Ground Level, Master Bedroom and En-suite Shower Room, and another Bedroom and Family Bathroom at First Floor, with 2 further double Bedrooms with Bathroom and a Utility Room at the top floor. Additionally, there is a large garden at the rear with a sunny dining terrace. The garden is surrounded by trees, and feels very secluded.
There is off street parking for one car at the front of the house, and there is plenty of parking on the street that is not charged for.
