Charming flat for 2 or 3 persons located in the Historic Center of Paris.
Designed by an architect, the apartment is both sober, design and warm with its apparent stones. It features a bed, a comfortable sofa bed, a living room and a kitchen all in one environment, with a separate and design bathroom.
This is a perfect choice to spend their stay in the City of Lights.
Beautiful and very comfortable flat located in the 3th arrondissement. 5 min from the Musée Picasso, 10 min from Place des Vosges, the location is perfect to discover or rediscover Paris. 2 metro station from Bastille, or 15 min by walking, makes easy to go to the Louvre ou Musée d'Orsay by metro (Ligne 1). A very nice flat in an ideal location...
We had a fantastic time at this studio and would stay again. The studio was better than described. Tatiana and Rafael were very helpful and easy to communicate with and Rafael took the time to show us all aspects of the unit after meeting him at the front door, coming from the metro station very close by. It was very clean and comfortable with nice bedding and extra pillows. We didn't find the bed to be squeaky as another reviewer stated. Also, we loved opening the windows and shudders and didn't feel concerned for our safety at any point. We closed them at night and when we were out but otherwise left them open, which allowed plenty of light and a nice breeze during the day via the 3 windows. We didn't need to use any AC or heat during our stay in mid August as the weather was pretty nice. The audio player with an aux input was a nice feature, we could listen to our music while getting ready and making cappuccino in the mornings. The neighbors were pretty quiet and we didn't find the unit to be very noisy for such a historic building. We didn't hear anyone walking around on the floor above. The location right near the Bastille is great. It's a perfect spot from which to walk around exploring the city, with all of the cafes and shops near the Bastille, or to head down to the Seine and go from there. Also several Velib bike stations are nearby which made getting around easy and fun. There are great neighborhood cafes and local shops, just don't get lost in the little winding streets. Or do! It's Paris after all. Oh also, the shower- just don't turn it on full blast and you're good to go with hot water for a long time if you wish. Just mess with it for a minute and you'll find the sweet spot. Highly recommended as a nice romantic spot for a couple. We would love to stay again.
Overall: The flat offers a good value for staying in Marais. However, the flat is on the street level and feels very "cave-like" as it is difficult to have the windows open (because of security or privacy). Overall I would still recommend this flat.
Bed: The bed is very firm and not overly comfortable (though this may be a personal preference) It creaks quite a bit when moving around.
Kitchen: The kitchen is nicely appointed with everything you should need. They also provide a coffee maker with free pods. We didn't cook while there (I can't imagine doing so in Paris)
Bathroom: Surprisingly roomy with a nice heated rack. The towels were not in the best condition but worked fine. They installed a nice shower head but it drains the hot water very fast (in 5 minutes?). It's best to not turn the water pressure up all the way and to turn the shower on and off
Location: Great location about a block and a half from a metro station (Froissant). The street isn't noisy (for a big city) and didn't find it difficult to sleep at night
Communication: No problem and they were very accommodating for a late, late check-in due to the airport strike in France. The process leading up to the booking was good with no real issues.
Very often a place doesn't look like the photos and then one is very disappointed. This looks like what you see on the site: it is very well thought out, comfortable and user friendly. There is space to move around, as opposed to many studios that are extremely tiny. The bed is comfortable, there is also a seating couch. The kitchen table and chairs (real chairs, not stools) are also very good. The heating was wonderful, both in the room and the pleasant bathroom. The staff who dealt with us were very helpful, and when we asked for extra towels and pillows we got them without problems. Everything was spotlessly clean and pleasant to use.The only slight difficulty in the flat is it being on the sidewalk level, which means that one cannot really open the shutters for air and light, without feeling that one is very close to the outside, and vice versa. In the cold winter months this is not a problem, but it doesn't seem to me to be viable for the warmer months, especially as there is no airconditioning.
The location is wonderful: the northern end of the Marais, with a supermarket literally around the corner and a laundry also very close. Obviously, there are many boulangeries, cafes and restaurants. One can walk to the Bastille metro stop or take the closer one and change if it is raining. It is a short walk to the Pompidou and from there to further points in the Marais.
We would definitely return and also recommend it to others.
About this apartment: in my opinion it is perfectly decorated, because it combines modern, comfort and old style. We feel that the owners think the decorations.
I loved the beams and especially the stone wall; this is very typical of the “Marais”.
The location of this apartment is centrally located; 5 min walk from the “Place des Vosges”.
The restaurants around are good.. For us, the “Café des Musées”-street Turenne, was the best.
I forgot to mention the equipment of the apartment: Everything is there!
Super Paris Wochenende !
Schönes Appart, günstig und ruhig gelegen. Komplette Ausstattung mit allem, was man braucht. Für zwei Personen ideal. Modern möbliert, aber trotzdem warm und angenehm. Schöne Mischung mit antiken Elementen. Große Dusche. Küche nicht ausprobiert, sieht aber funktionell aus. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Beim nächsten Mal gerne wieder.
