LAKEFRONT, NEAR SUNDAY RIVER - STEAM RM, OUTSIDE FIREPIT, SPECTACULAR KITCHEN

Our Team stayed in the Maine House for the US National Cross Country Ski Championships in Rumford, ME. There were 21 people, 17 College Athletes and 4 coaches. The house worked out great for our stay. All the Athletes had there own beds and the coaches were able to stay in our own section of the house for our own privacy. We cooked in every night and the kitchen and dinning areas made this very easy to accommodate. Our group eats a ton of food and we found there to be plenty of storage and cooking amenities to prepare many great meals. The living room was great for team meetings and simply hanging out in front of the fire place.

If you have a large group we would recommend the Maine house. We look forward to being back there for future ski races in the area.

The UVM NORDIC SKI TEAM

We decided to rent the Maine House to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday! My brothers and sisters and their families all joined us for a total of 32! I have a big family and we vacation a lot together and this is the first time everyone had a bed! The Maine House is very big with lots of places to spread out. The great room has a wonderful fireplace which made is so warm and cozy! The kitchen table is fantastic. Everyone had a chair and it was warm on the porch too! Beds were comfortable and kitchen is huge with lots of good appliances. I will say too that this is the first house we have ever stayed at with great water pressure! With 7 bathrooms everyone can take a shower at the time and it doesn't effect the pressure!! Amazing! We went tubing and skiing at Mt Abram which is only a 7 minute drive and Sunday River which is about 20 minutes away. We brought our own snowmobile and were able to go right from the property onto the frozen lake which lead to many groomed trails in the woods! Tons of fun! The kids went sleding right in the yard because there is a good hill. I liked the mudroom it is so convient in keeping all the ski's and wet snow stuff out of the house. The Maine house was great and I would definitely recommend staying there. It looks like it would be fun in the summer too because you are right on the lake. They had lots of canoes, and kayaks, lifejackets, big grills and fire pits! It's a great house!
