Financial District Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Become one with the city in this modern 2 bdm, 1 bthm loft apartment in Tribeca
Change is the only constant in New York and the habitants of Tribeca know this better than the denizens of any other neighbourhood in Manhattan. Boosted by celebrity habitués like Robert DeNiro, this once run-down district has, in the past 20 years, grown to become of the glitziest neighbourhoods in town, with stores and restaurants perfectly suited for high-end residents. This home’s attractions, however, transcend earthly desires. Spacious and gorgeously decorated, it's tucked in a low-rise building with plenty of subway lines nearby, making it the ideal spot to refocus your chi after a long day of exploring the city.
Our hostess is a renaissance woman, an elegant New Yorker who has reached the point in her career where she has some time to stop and smell the roses. When she's not working as a commercial real estate executive, she enjoys spending time with her son, with whom she shares this spacious apartment.
One Hand Applauding
You'll notice the calming tone as soon as you enter the home. In the sleek modern kitchen, the ubiquitous red wood is polished to, shall we say, self-reflexivity. The living room and dining area is a meditative space with modernist furniture and monochrome art. A head of Buddha features prominently in this room, as does a lavish Oriental cabinet.
Everything has its space in the boy’s room, and the lofted white bed leaves room for whimsical ephemera from a childhood dream. Textured stone creates a serene backdrop in the bathroom, where a shower rouses you with a cool embrace. There's no better place to greet the morning than this apartment's master bedroom, though, and you'll greet the sun through its bright big windows. The generous pile of the shag rugs does wonders for bare feet.
The nearby food options are of the finest pedigree, making each meal choice a pleasure. Neighbourhood standbys include Smith + Mills and Macao Trading Co., where food and nightlife tend to merge like yin and yang. Chinatown and its myriad variety lies just to the north, and nearly every train line converges near your apartment - use them to explore the city, and from there, new parts of yourself.
