For the fashion forward, East London’s the only place to be. So if you fancy yourself as a Harajuku girl or a Brooklyn boy, then take a look at Quaker Street. Set off of an iconic street, you’re within staggering distance of some of the city’s most talked about galleries, bars and clubs.
But before you head off meet the next Banksy, linger awhile in Quaker Street. Here you’ll find contemporary home comforts, and, whether you’re a trendspotter or simply a bit of a voyeur, if you want to keep an eye on your neighbours, you’ll find that you’ve a fantastic view onto the street below…
Your uber cool host is one of London’s top creatives. A keen cook, he divides his spare time between entertaining at Quaker Street and dipping in on Brick Lane’s bars and restaurants.
On the bright side
With its floor to ceiling windows, pale walls and modern aesthetic, Quaker Street is all about light. Flick a switch and the white leather couch glows an intriguing blue, reach across to fire up a deliciously retro lava lamp.
The living area’s open plan, so if you're engrossed in the delights of the playstation, you can still call around the corner to whoever you’ve cajoled into making your dinner. The master bedroom’s subdued in cream and mocha, with a neat en suite. Next door there’s a larger bathroom and a further, sofa-bedded guest double.
Yellow brick road

You can eat in a different location every night for two weeks and still not have tried all of your local restaurants. The nightlife’s as hot as it gets, and if you want to get into zone 1, you can be there in well under half an hour.
