Notting Hill House Rental Photos and Description
Hang out in this cheerful flat with balcony in well-located Notting Hill
If your visions of London are grey, dour and drizzly, think again, for here’s a home that’s as bright and zesty as a lemon! On the second floor of a period mansion block, and just a hop, skip and a jump from Kensington Gardens is Palace Court, the home of a pair of lovebirds with a longing for azure seas and skies. From the Hockney prints to the spicy tapestries, this home sings of summer. And, outside, the pavements are littered with cafes, bars and even the odd ice cream parlour.
Your young host and hostess were recently wed in Greece, and now they’re off to travel the world together. They work in finance and PR, and they’ve cleverly created a beautiful nest to greet them upon their return.
Feeling hot hot hot
Palace Court is down a small side street between two pretty squares, and once inside, you’ll find this home to be wonderfully sunny and quiet. Throw open the door windows to the stone balcony and enjoy the view. Then turn back to admire the sitting room’s marble fireplace, the high ceiling and the vibrant art. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, and you can eat either at the dining table or the snazzy breakfast bar.
Then it’s on to the bedroom, where you’ve more modern art, a leather sofa, and, best of all, a superking sized bed. Next door, the bathroom is resplendent in the softest cameo creams, and decorated with some rather witty doodles… and then, to bed, to dream upon acres of our snowy white linen.
You’re just a few minutes’ walk from Kensington Gardens, but first, look in on St Sophia’s church. If it looks familiar, then it may be because you saw it in a Bond movie! You have a vast array of restaurants to sample around the corner in Notting Hill, as well as all manner of bars and cafes, and you’re only a short walk from Westbourne Grove. Or, if you want to see the West End, the tube from Queensway to Oxford Circus takes seven minutes.
