Overview

Brooklyn House Rental Photos and Description

Prismatic

Painter's box

Dip your brush in this cheery home, where every room is tinted a different bold colour. Tangerine, eggplant, robin's egg, moss – each lively wall is a perfectly primed backdrop for antique furniture and an eclectic array of found treasures. It makes for an exuberant home sure to put all but the most creative painter's palate to shame. The radiant hues splash out into Boerum Hill, a quaint neighbourhood.

Festival of colours

Never ones to see the world in black and white, your hosts have brought home orphaned treasures wherever they can be found, mixing their pigments together into a multi-hued celebration, then arranging them with a painter's eye for detail.

Taste the rainbow

Bold shades of ochre, turquoise and ruby swirl together in this jewel-toned home, which is resplendent with Victorian armchairs, floor to ceiling bookshelves, and exposed beams. Many of the original details still fill the frame, like an ornate marble fireplace, and even a cheerful potbelly stove in the green bedroom. Warm accent rugs paint broad strokes over the hardwood floors. There are as many nooks and crannies as you could ever need: a sunny office space packed with books, a modern-meets-Victorian sitting room that bursts with lavender and magenta, and a pair of spacious bedrooms furnished with playful antiques. Stacks of vintage suitcases and piles of books are dabbed throughout. It's the perfect home base from which to paint the town.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Brooklyn

If you didn’t happen to know better, you might miss sweet little Boerum Hill. Nestled along a bustling stretch of Atlantic Avenue on the borough’s west side, peruse an unexpectedly cosmopolitan trove of quaint homes, gardens, treasure-laden antiques emporia and small designer boutiques.

Here, trees rustle softly between historic brownstone row houses, while intimate and laid-back dining spots, including the arboreal Rucola on Dean Street and Jewish delicatessen Mile End on Hoyt Street, are tucked away and adored by this friendly and tightly knit community.

Further west, the promenade overlooking the East River waterfront is a perennial favorite for running and romantic strolls. It’s also the best spot around here to snap a picture-perfect panorama of the Statue of Liberty and beyond. And if sight of the Manhattan makes you crave her company, don’t fret: a couple of different lines can deliver you there in a matter of minutes.

What makes this house unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
