Water, water everywhere
For that’s what you’ll see from Luna House, the majestic dip and swell of one of history’s greatest rivers. In ancient Shad Thames, down a cobbled side street, you’ll discover a cutting edge apartment block. Ride the lift to the fourth floor, turn the key in the lock and get ready to gasp. The views, from Tower Bridge over to the Gherkin, are worth a whistle, but first, run your eye over the interiors. The luxe kitchen, the gleaming wooden floors and the smart designer furniture, Luna House is a city slicker’s dream.
Making a splash
Your hosts are a pair of global entrepreneurs who divide their time between London, Paris and Hong Kong. Once based in Canary Wharf they now criss-cross the globe, leaving their home ready and waiting for you.
The living room at Luna House is as contemporary as they come, and you’ll find yourself torn between a sit on the charcoal sofa and a drink out on the balcony, either way, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the view. Spectacles such as this are made for sharing, and with a top of the range kitchen and uber cool glass dining table you’ve no excuse not to have your friends round.
The master bedroom is a study in pared down luxury. A second balcony, shared with the guest double next door, means that you can laze in bed watching the many boats sail past, day dreaming of their destinations. You’ve an en suite with a bath, and for your guests, there’s a further bathroom down the hall. Like the master bedroom, the guest double is comfortable and airy, and both beds are swathed with the crispest white linen
