Holborn Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Retire to your one bedroom, one bathroom home, and its secret garden
Offering a rare balance of city centre convenience and provincial peace and quiet, this historic converted mews provides the best of both worlds. Find pastoral idyll in one of the affluent garden squares nearby, or simply let your fancy find the way and wander the winsome streets, lined with iconic London architecture and artistic institutions. After a hard day’s indulgence, retire to your one bedroom, one bathroom home, and its secret garden. In this much-coveted, city centre hideaway, sip a Pinot Noir on the old flag stones while you admire the original Georgian brick walls and neighbouring buildings.
Sense and sensibility
Your hosts are both period drama producers, and they've poured their aesthetic sensibilities into this Georgian mews studio. Exposed brickwork and granite floors reflect a penchant for times gone by, bespoke contemporary artwork lining the walls hints at their artistic coterie. While with delectation they consume the curiosities on offer on John’s Mews 2’s doorstep.
A room with a view
Step inside this much-loved home and watch a drama of style unfold against a backdrop of lux fabrics and stark surfaces of slate and chrome. The living quarters ooze modernism with an open plan layout, so you’ve always got an eye on the action. In the kitchen and dining area, sip freshly ground coffee from a Pantone cup, while you rustle up some edible goodies using the high end appliances, then sup at the table, around which contemporary dining chairs pop with colour. Once sated, enjoy a power shower in the pared down luxury of the bathroom, with its heated tile rack and retro wall tiles, then swan through to the sitting area, where a devilishly deep, tangerine sofa looks out over the home’s private garden. Play out the denouement of your day in the bedroom area, and bathe in the light of the windows from the comfort of your king sized bed. When the daylight fades, curl up and enjoy a book under the state of the art angle poise lamps.
North and south
With the literary landmark of Bloomsbury Square and the British Museum both around the corner, John’s Mews is ideally placed to explore central London’s ample attractions. Stroll up the road to the boutique-lined streets of Clerkenwell, or up to the newly gentrified King’s Cross, where art galleries and artisan coffee abounds. Oxford Street is just a ten minutes’ walk away.
