For intrepid travellers everywhere, where better to enjoy your adventures than from the cosy embrace of home? Tales of derring-do are surely best recounted from a seat beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s night, or perhaps amidst a cloud of bird song in a garden on the first day of summer.

Refined, delicate, and with a reassuring sense of timelessness, Kelso Place is a three storey neo-Georgian house that you’ll find difficult to leave. Within walking distance of Kensington Gardens and Notting Hill, you’ve all of London on your doorstep. It’s simply a question of tearing yourself away.

Familiar friend

Your cosmopolitan hostess volunteers for an international humanitarian organisation. She’s travelled the world, bringing back everything from hand woven fabrics to a taste in bonsai trees.

Port in a storm

Whether you’re swotting up on your Swahili or just admiring your holiday snaps, you’ll find the sitting room at Kelso Place bright and cosy, festooned with Thai fabrics and original art. On warm nights, open the windows out to the balcony, or descend the spiral staircase into the garden and admire your hostess’ miniature forest. The rustic kitchen’s prettily decked out in distressed wood, and there’s space for up to eight to dine at the glass-topped table.

The three bedrooms are a true retreat from the cares of the everyday, with feminine fabrics and gilded French mirrors. The master bedroom has a small TV, and an ensuite in warm burnt-sienna, while the two doubles share a family bathroom decorated in the warmest terracotta.

    Our normal check-in time is 16:00 with check-out being any time before 11:00. However, you are very welcome to drop your bags at the home any time after 12:30 or an early check-in can normally be arrange at additional cost.
  • A pre-auth will be taken on a card on arrival as a security deposit.
  • Cancellation Policy

    No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges.

    Early cancellation. If you cancel earlier than 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay.

    Late cancellation. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your stay, we will try to offer the home to someone else. If we are successful we will offer a partial refund of the cost of your booking (less our admin charges).

Home Truths: -Some of the kitchen appliances are a little dated, that said this is a very warm and charming home. -The storage in the double and twin bedrooms are hanging rails. -Babies and children over 5 are welcome in this stylish home, and if required we can provide a cot.
