From the fuchsia pink sofa to the scarlet splashback, Highlever Road is a real head turner. Gorgeously girly, this is a home that’s not just a place to lay your head. You’ve a stand for your cupcakes, too. Antique furniture sits comfortably alongside modern designs to create a look that’s fun, flirty and bold.

But it’s not just fabulous interiors that have us swooning over this home. You’re a mere ten minutes’ walk from Notting Hill, surrounded by parks, while the vast shopping emporium of Westfield’s within an easy stagger. In fact, we’d say that Highlever Road is a find that’ll see you through every season.

Top designers

Your host is an eminent architect who couldn’t wait to turn his hand to his own home. He collaborates with your hostess, a project manager, who, when she’s not helping her partner, can be found working for a property show on TV. They and their two teenage girls are very proud of Highlever Road; so much so that they’ve opened their doors to a number of design magazines, and even let it be used as a location for the acclaimed sitcom ‘The Thick Of It’.

Making a statement

Whether it’s the vibrancy of the fabrics or the subtle beauty of the wallpaper, Highlever Road is a visual feast of many courses. The open plan living space runs the length of the house; curl up on the leather sofa beneath the bay window, or sprawl on the cowhide rug. Light streams onto the vast library through the skylights and glass back wall, so whether you’re on the xbox, the wii, or entertaining yourself the old fashioned way at the piano, you’ll be feeling as sunny as can be.

The kitchen’s bang up to date, and you’ve a total of three dining tables, two inside and one out in the garden. Upstairs you’ve a large master bedroom papered in pastel blue and gold and a matching bathroom next door. A bunk bedded girls’ room comes with a small balcony overlooking the garden. There’s a tasteful guest double and a modern family bathroom. And up on the top floor you can lie in the double bed and gaze up at a ceiling adorned with maps.

There’s a riding stables just at the end of the road, and a sports centre and waterpark right on your doorstep. Saunter over to nearby Golborne Road with its quirky shops, cafes, restaurants and antique market, or take your credit card for a spin at Westfield. Notting Hill’s around ten minutes away on foot, or the tube can have you in the centre of town in less than half an hour.

No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges.

Early cancellation. If you cancel earlier than 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay.

Late cancellation. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your stay, we will try to offer the home to someone else. If we are successful we will offer a partial refund of the cost of your booking (less our admin charges).
