West Village Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Airy one bedroom with a grand terrace (2000 square feet in all) and jacuzzi
Both local scenesters and in-the-know out-of-towners flock to the cobblestoned streets of the West Village for good eats and lively beats. With the Meatpacking district’s bright lights and Soho’s bustle-y brunch options only minutes away on foot, you’ll be poised to rock the best this town’s got from this bright, modern, minimalist one bedroom, which has its own grand terrace (spanning 2,000 square feet in all).
Jumpin’ Jack Flash
Your host is a music industry vet with roots from across the pond, and when he’s not producing sold-out shows, he indulges his penchant for tickling the ivories on his phone booth red piano.
Paint It, White
This home’s set list features all modern tunes. In this contemporary space, the style is decidedly minimalist: cool shades of grey and clean, lightning white whites abound. But the minimalism is amplified with wit. A Sex Pistols poster sardonically proclaims “God Save the Queen—She Ain’t No Human Being.” A kisby ring hanging off the scarlet 19th century piano proffers a warm welcome to any fans who may wander in. In the living room, a modern, low-slung sectional sofa pairs off with an overhead projector for a bespoke space for lounging about.
The roomy kitchen, fitted with stainless steel appliances, is equipped for churning out everything from bangers to mash. And the dining area, with its sleek glass table hugged by cushioned wooden benches, has enough room to fit plenty of band mates and the set-up crew too. Step onto the expansive terrace, a triple platinum hit of a space that you won’t find anywhere else in the city, and wind down from the day’s tour - there’s a Weber grill ready for firing up and deck chairs awaiting sunbathers. A hard day’s night is easily erased once you recline on the plush bed, the glittering lights of Manhattan at your feet.
Start Me Up
You’ll be gobsmacked at the sheer variety of diversions at your disposal. Take a leisurely stroll on The High Line; dine with a view of the Hudson River at Perry Street; chat up New York’s glitterati at The Boom Boom Room; enjoy a tipple at the Jane Ballroom; and revive yourself for another go with brunch at Pastis or a jog along the Hudson. If you want a change of scene or a change of outfit, uptown is a 10-minute slingshot up the West High Way and the boutiques of Bleecker Street are a rolling stone’s throw away.
