Fresh as Snow

Climb to the top floor of a sturdy red brick Victorian mansion, then allow yourself to tumble down in a flurry of alabaster bed linen and pearly white walls. This home has the cool glitter of dawn light upon new snow, and you’ll be just aching to let loose amongst its spacious rooms and modern-retro furniture. Recently renovated and gorgeously stylish on the inside, outside you’re just a swish away from Kensington High Street’s exceptional boutiques. And with cafes and restaurants that put Whistler and Val d'Isère in the shade, your fondue never tasted better.

Chalet girls and boys

Your hosts are a pair of skiing fanatics, who can be found zigzagging down mountainsides every winter weekend, so it’s no coincidence that their primary home is in Switzerland. And when the goggles come off, she’s a hotelier, while he works in finance.

Good forecast

Cresswell Gardens’ sitting room channels something of a fifties aesthetic, with floating shelves, a low coffee table and a bold mocha rug. The TV’s large, the corner sofa’s invitingly squidy and musical types will appreciate the stereo’s high-end Bowers & Wilkins ipod docking station. The brand new kitchen gleams with new surfaces and appliances, and there’s a grey mosaic bathroom with a powerful shower along the hall, filled with fluffy towels and White Company toiletries

The first double bedroom is crisp and fresh, with a radiator disguised as a full-length mirror. There’s a second bedroom, which can be set either as a twin or a super kingsized double, and next door there’s an ivory-pale ensuite.

You’re between Kensington High Street and Chelsea’s King’s Road, both of which have far more than their fair share of glitzy shops and restaurants, not to mention cosy cafes in which to sup a reviving hot chocolate. Hyde Park and the museums are close at hand, while the journey into town is the easiest of runs - the tube from Gloucester Road to Piccadilly Circus takes ten minutes.

    Late cancellation. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your stay, we will try to offer the home to someone else. If we are successful we will offer a partial refund of the cost of your booking (less our admin charges).

Home Truths: The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a townhouse and there is no lift in the building, therefore you need to negotiate a number of stairs to reach the front door. As this home is on the top floor it can get warm in the summer, there are sash windows in each room that can be opened to let a breeze in. You can hear some slight traffic noise from the main road when the windows are open during the day, although the flat is situated in a small residential street. A lot of love and care has gone into the styling of this well-loved home, therefore it is only suitable for children over the age of 6. The two singles in the twin room can be made into a king size bed, please let our reservations team know if you would like it prepared as a king size bed for your stay.

Fantastic flat in an awesome location

The pictures really tell the story of this great flat. It is newly renovated with really comfy beds and quilts. Very important after a full day of sightseeing! Everything is state of the art in the flat and 3 of us were very happy with the space. It is a four story walk up but we just looked at that as a bit more exercise added to our active day. Great shopping and restaurants in the area and the tube is a couple of blocks away. You won't be sorry if you rent this flat. Enjoy and cheers:)
