Breckenridge Peak 8 Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-4)

Click the 'Video' link on the picture above for a video tour of this condo.

Our reasonable fall rate makes your vacation possible.

This condominium is located on 4 O'clock ski run. A convenient short downhill run to the Snowflake lift and you're off! Ski back to the condo for lunch and after skiing. Sleep well in a king size bed, with a separate TV in the bedroom.

The front room queen size sofa sleeper has an upgraded mattress. The front room also has a gas fireplace, television, and DVD player. Cable TV, and free WiFi are provided by Comcast. The fully equipped kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, oven/range, dishwasher, and microwave, new May of 2012. The kitchen is also stocked with a coffee pot, and all the necessary utensils needed for basic cooking.

The hallway closet has a 'stack style' washer and dryer.

The cross-country ski area is just down the street, and the famous Peaks Trail is closeby. Bicycle to Frisco on the Peaks Trail, and return on the Blue Rive Bikeway, or ride the shuttle back to Breckenridge. Both Breckenridge and Summit County have a fantastic shuttle system. This unit is an easy one block walk to get a shuttle.

The Peak 8 Base Area is less than 1/4 mile above this unit. The Dew Tour and other half pipe events are held here. During the summer Peak 8 has a Super Side, Ski Lift rides, Gold Runner Coaster, and other attractions.

It's an easy walk to these summer attractions.

Shop the many stores on Main St., Frisco, and the Outlet Mall in Silverthorne. Gambling is an hour away in Central City. Breckenridge and Summit County offer extensive hiking, biking, boating on Lake Dillon, historical walks/tours, wildlife and history lectures, museums, galleries, visiting artists, theater, and more. Frisco has a tubing hill, and a bike park right along Highway 9, you can see it as you come into town. In Breckenridge, a sledding hill, located at Carter Park, adds another activity to the list, especially for the kids. (or the big kids!)

Pamper yourself at one of the many spas, or use the excellent recreation center. The rec center has a large selection of activities, two pools, climbing wall, excercise classes, etc.

Breckenridge and Summit county have festivals and celebrations throughout the year, with community events, parades, contests, and a lot of good food! Browse through one of the outdoor artisan festivals, but don't forget the town has a nice selection of galleries.

Breckenridge has upgraded the streets for bicyclers, with bike lanes/routes, and hosts bicycling events. Often the town of Breckenridge is a stopping point for a big race, or charity event. Breckenridge will be the Stage 5 finish of the USA Pro Challenge, held during August of 2014.

The Holiday season is festive and a delight to walk Main St., with all the lights and seasonal decor, set against the back drop of the Rocky Mountains. The International Snow Sculpture event is magical, both watching the process, and the final product.

Summer guests are welcome, and find Breckenridge a beautiful place to escape the summer heat. Many of our summer guests are getting away from HOT Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma. A deck off the front room provides a private outdoor seating area for a breath of fresh air.

A damage deposit is required. Restricted by covenants to no more than four people and no pets.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation outside of 30 days before arrival are charged $100 with remaining monies refunded. Cancellations inside of 30 days before arrival are non-refundable.

This condo is NOT suitable for persons who have difficulty with stairs.

You may contact us directly by phone or by email.

We hope you will stay in our condo.

About Randy and Ellen Kurvers

We met in 1977 in Aspen. It was alway our dream to have a place in the mountains to go skiing. Turns out, it's the Breckenridge summers we really love. We are in our 60's now (can you believe I admitted that?), and we no longer downhill, but cross country ski and snowshoe when we can get away from our condo business; taking along our beloved Golden Retriever 'Buddy'. Ellen is a retired teacher, and Randy is a retired masonry contractor. We own two Breckenridge condos, and they keep us busy. We manage our own properties, and you will only deal with us.

Randy and Ellen Kurvers purchased this condo in 1983

Why Randy and Ellen Kurvers chose Breckenridge Peak 8

This was the first condo we purchased. We liked it's ski in location. Later, a lift was added nearby, and it became ski in and ski out. We also liked it's proximity to the Peak 8 Base Area. The building is in a quiet location.

What makes this condo unique

The ability to ski in and ski out is fantastic, no parking hassles. You can ski back to the condo for a quick lunch. A short walk down the street is the Nordic Center, where you can cross country ski or snow shoe on miles of trails. Peaks Trailhead is a half mile away. The shuttle system is easily accessible.

Great location, Great value!

  • 5 of 5
This condo was perfect for my small family. It was close to Main Street, but still in a peaceful, secluded location on the mountain. It's very homey and comfortable and the owners are nice and easy to work with. It's very close to hiking trails (for summer). Overall, a great value and a memorable experience!

Good Location and Comfortable Accommodations

  • 4 of 5
We just returned from a five day stay at Grandview. The unit was exactly as described. We were able to walk a short distance to the bus, walk a short distance to the Four O'clock Run ( there was so much snow you couldn't climb up on the snow banks to ski along the side of the road!) but it was not an issue. It was easy to ski down to get our lift tickets at Snowflake. The grocery store is a short drive to town and the buses make it very convenient to get any where if you don't want to take a short five minute drive.

The unit was comfortable and very clean. I would recommend it for 2 to 3 people.

The owners are in town and very accessible. They were quite nice and provided us would good information in helping us to get to know the area.

Comfortable and clean accomodations

  • 4 of 5
This condo is in great condition - very clean with comfortable living room and bedroom furniture. The kitchen was extremely clean and included most any accessory you'd need during your stay. Coffee filters and sugar were included, coffee was not. The bathroom is a nice tile with plush towels and plenty of them. Although we didn't use it, it was also nice that a washer and dryer are in the unit. We also enjoyed having a balcony that overlooked trees and the mountain. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend you bring ear plugs due to noise in the unit above us as well as early mornings when people would come down the metal stairs next to the unit wearing ski boots (and sounding like a herd of elephants). This unit is great if you are an experienced skier/boarder and able to go right out the parking lot onto the 4 o'clock run. However, if you are a beginner or not comfortable starting out on a run, the walk to the shuttle (for Peak 9) was a bit long and cumbersome carrying boards and skis. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the owners were very responsive when we sent a rate inquiry, immediately calling to discuss rates, availability and location.

Owner's Response: You do not have to walk to the lifts. The shuttle on Ski Hill Road will take you to the Base of Peak 8.

The rental was everything it claimed it would be. We went there for a couple of days of skiing. The entrance to the slopes was at the end of the parking lot, probably 75 yards. We actually drove a truck and took our skis and boards in it then one person walked from parking lot. Not bad at all. We would stay there again. Clean and comfortable. The owners also were fantastic with everything explained in detail. Thanks.

Great condo in a great location

  • 5 of 5
Our expectations were greatly exceeded by everything about this place. Well furnished with recent updates, ski-in/ski-out on the 4 o'clock run, easy access to peak 8, a short run to peak 9, close to town and shopping, and more than enough room. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay!

  • 5 of 5
Me and a friend stayed here for a week-long ski-trip in February. The condo was comfortable, clean and a lovely place to relax after a long day on the slopes. Although the buildings themselves were not well marked, the supplied directions were excellent and we found it without any problem.
