Le Cheval Blanc is a stylish comfortable 6-person home in completely restored farmhouse. The house is tastefully decorated and well equipped, everyone feels right at home. It's spacious, comfortable, luxurious and not noisy. Spacious bedrooms with delicious (double) beds, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets. It is delightful stay for a family or small group. The rooms are well insulated. You're not on each lip and you do have 'to make things do'. Authentic details (antique tiles and beamed ceilings) illustrate the typical French atmosphere. The view over the landscape is phenomenal. Fully equipped kitchen with an 8-person table, stove and under floor heating. Living room with fireplace and terrace. Radio, TV, CD's, DVD player, books, magazines. Free wireless internet, washer, dryer etc. Parking space and a huge outdoor terrace. The Dutch owner lives at walking distance.

Le Cheval Blanc is a unique property, because it is kept in the old style. Quality materials have been used for restoration. The beamed ceilings, stone walls and antique tiles are original, but the comfort is modern.

The house was designed and furnished to let you feel at home immediately. The house is 800 meters from a very quiet and beautiful golf course. At the other side you have a phenomenal view over the fields till the horizon from the spacious sunny terrace.

When you arrive everything is settled. From bathrobes to spare toothbrushes, from wine to broth cubes, espresso coffee to firewood, from DVDs to games. The comfortable beds are made. What is not settled, we can arrange on request, as the first shopping or a delicious 3-course French meal on the day of arrival.

The large cozy kitchen (30m2) is the central room with an impressive beamed ceiling and an antique tiled floor. There, the 8-person table invites you to a long meal, games or a glass into the small hours. There is wireless internet. Even out of season (like Christmas) it is wonderful to be with family or friends to stay. The under floor heating provides comfortable heat and wood stove radiates warmth. Fire wood is in stock...

The kitchen is very recent and complete: double sink, dishwasher, Nespresso machine (with coffee!), a Senseo, a 5-burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator / freezer, etc. And if you like to cook: basic ingredients are there already and the knives are sharp!

The living room is bright and big: 36 m2 and have a radio / CD, LCD HD TV (82cm), with the Dutch channels, the latest DVD player (also Blue Ray) and wireless internet. There are fairly recent Dutch books, CDs, DVDs and games. The leather sofa has a lovely sitting! In low season there is heating and a wood burning fireplace to enjoy the flames. Through the double doors you enter the huge sun terrace / balcony (40 m2!) With fantastic views over the countryside and where nobody can see you.

The three spacious bedrooms (18-20 m2) are excellent noise isolated. There are double beds (2x90x200) with excellent mattresses and duvets. The beds can be placed apart. Closing the curtains keeps the light outside.

The bathroom has everything you would expect. Besides the bath there is large shower place (90x120) with a tempered glass sliding door. Double sinks in bathroom, furniture and a modern toilet make the bathroom complete. Outside the heating season the floor heating gives warm feet and a lovely temperature.

Next to the blue bedroom is a second shower with a glass door. It has as a thermostatic shower and two shower heads. There is a separate hot water supply for each bathroom so that it is unlikely that you out of warm water. Opposite this shower you can find the sink. Bathrobes towels and hairdryers are provided.

Practical: The house has three modern toilets.

Le Cheval Blanc is easily accessible by car: only 4 hours from Calais

Environment

The world famous Cathedral of Chartres, one of the finest cathedrals in the world in 45 minutes.

Golf

One of the finest golf courses in the area, the Golf du Perche is only 800 meters away.

The perfect vacation

If you are considering this house do not hesistate. It is impeccably decorated and clean. The location is central to so many sites: Paris Normandy and the Loire valley, however, Vichere in itself is lovely and the surrounding beauty makes you want to stay put! Most of all, Bill and Irene were the perfect hosts...they made sure we felt welcome and took care of our every need. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children. When we asked our kids about their favorite destination of this trip (Versailles. Paris, Normandy...etc) and they told us...it's where we stayed ..in the comfort and beauty of Le Cheval Blanc!

Lovely relaxing week!

The photos don't really do it justice- all rooms are beautifully finished and with everything you could want for a relaxing week away. Plenty of opportunity for country walks and nice day trips to local towns. I would definitely recommend coming here for a week away- Bill and his family have done a wonderful job building and maintaining the property and made us feel very at home- thank you!

Wonderful house!

Clean, cosy, spacious. Excellent beds and sanitary facilities! Six of us and a baby were just stuck in the great kitchen-breakfast room. Everything was there to have a great time. Husbands enjoyed themselves on the splended golf course, the rest of us would like to explore even more of the area next year. A tradition seems to be born!

Wow, and what a view!

We spent a wonderful holiday in le Cheval Blanc. We felt right at home. We received a warm welcome. The kitchen is spacious, cosy, tastefully decorated and equipped with all modern conveniences. The big 8-person table is inviting. The spacious living room has a beamed ceiling, a comfortable lounge suite and a TV. The 3 bedrooms are beautiful, spacious and differently decorated. The beds are delicious. Shower and bathroom are complete and modern. And the large sunny balcony adjacent to the living: Wow, what a view! Le Cheval Blanc is a superb place to stay!

Really a must!

…… There is really nothing of equipment or facilities that was missing. The kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences and amenities including large fireplace stove and floor heating. The living rooms and bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the view on the large rooftop terrace is wonderful. The service was excellent: pearly white sheets, big towels, firewood, coffee, cleaning etc. .……
Le Cheval Blanc, in the midst of nature, homely and equipped with all modern conveniences; a real must!

A house to relax

We felt at home and abroad. Nothing was missing. What a space and what a quality! The beds were excellent. Normally in an holiday cottage I like to go outside, here I hardly left the house. It was not necessary, on the huge terrace you're outside already and the view is really great!

Le Cheval Blanc is a spacious sunny 6-person apartment in a historical farmhouse (1830). The house is recently restored from top to bottom and equipped with all modern conveniences. The original layout and features such as beamed ceilings and antique tiles are preserved. You feel right at home.

The house is situated in the Perche (Eure-et-Loire), a large natural park, opposite a beautiful and quiet golf course. The landscape is undulating and wooded.
