Prati (Vatican area) Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Apartment with 2 bedrooms and 4 \ 6 beds, in the center of Rome, Vatican
The apartment Anastasio is just a few steps from the Vatican walls (300 meters from the Metro Line A Cipro-Vatican Museums). Recently renovated, is located on the top floor (accessible by elevator) of a quiet building. It has two bedrooms (one with double bed and the other with two single beds that can become a double bed), a living room kitchenette and two bathrooms (one with shower and another service). The bedrooms are air conditioned and each have a comfortable sofa bed. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with all amenities (Wi-Fi, dishes, microwave, dishes, glasses, linens, towels, TV, washing machine, iron).
Near della'appartamento there are bars, pharmacies, pizzerias, restaurants, supermarkets, beauty salons, private garages and banks.
We liked the location of the apartment. It was close to the metro, a short walk to the Vatican, and there was a supermarket and several delicious gelaterias close by. It was quiet and we felt like we were in a community. The Italians who lived in the building would smile and say, "Buon giorno."
This apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Our two teenage daughters appreciated the two bathrooms, the nice shower, the large bedroom with twin beds and extra space, and the WIFI! My husband and I liked the 2nd bedroom with the large wardrobe to store our suitcase and hang clothes. We used the washing machine and utilized the balcony for quickly drying clothes. The kitchen was well stocked and had quite a large refrigerator. The dining area opened to the living area which made it feel more spacious.
Max was a very helpful host. We communicated via email and he was quick to answer questions, give directions, and suggestions for restaurants and even great places to watch sunsets :-). He met us at the metro station and walked us to the apartment. We appreciated his thoughtfulness... providing a cell phone to text him questions about anything during our stay (and he responded very quickly), bringing an umbrella since there were rainstorms in the forecast, and stocking the refrigerator with milk, water, and soda for our arrival. Max speaks English very well and was friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. :-) We started our trip in Rome (and it was our first time to Italy), so we greatly appreciated his help and we felt from like we had a friend in Rome.
Thank you, Max, for a wonderful Roman holiday!

Owner's Response: You are welcome Sarah! I'm so glad that I have have met you all and that I have contributed - in some way - to leave you a good memories of your Roman Holiday.
" ...we felt from like we had a friend in Rome". This is the best reward for me!!! Thank you so much to all of you!!
Our best way to describe how well, located and well kept the apartment is and how wonderful the host was in every way possible, is that we will not look for an apartment in Rome again when we go there because this one will be our choice. Thank you Max for being the best host and the quintessential Italian (nice, family friendly, informative and always available to help). We have rented through Home Away several times and always have been very pleased but Max went out of his way to make our stay even better!

Everything was as promised and displayed in photos. Max was very gracious and helpful. Location is perfect, walking distance from the Vatican and the Metro line that gives you access to every tourist attraction in Rome. Local neighborhood has great places to eat or stores to buy food to prepare yourself. In a word a Perfect place for a perfect Rome visit. Thank you Max!!

Excellent Apartment in Typical Roman Neighbourhood near Vatican
5 of 5
Our family had a very comfortable and enjoyable 4-night stay in this apartment. Max, the owner, was prompt and clear with all his communications from our initial enquiry through to our departure. We arrived at Termini station and took the Metro to the "Cipro" stop on Line A and Max was waiting at the exit to show us to the apartment. He also pointed out shops, cafes, restaurants etc. in the area. He couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment has two spacious bedrooms, one with two single beds, which was ideal for our family of four, including two young adult children aged 21 and 15 years. There are also two "sofa chairs", one in each bedroom, which fold out into beds, so the apartment can accomodate up to six people. The bathroom was also spacious and spotlessly clean, and there was a second toilet in a separate, small room next to the bathroom, which is excellent for a group of four or more people. There is free wifi which worked perfectly throughout our stay. The kitchen is well-appointed and we prepared a couple of evening meals for ourselves during our stay. There is a large Carrefour supermarket 5 minutes down the road, across from the metro station. There is also an excellent delicatessan on the main road opposite the metro and a greengrocer in the street adjacent. There is a Post Office on the ground floor of the next apartment block. The balcony of Max's apartment overlooks the courtyard where the Post Office is located. We were able to send a box back to Australia from here to lighten our luggage. There is a cafe on the ground floor of the apartment building (Motor Cafe) which serves a decent continental breakfast with nice coffee or hot chocolate. The apartment is on the 7th (top) floor but there is an elevator which is great for travellers with heavy bags. This isn't a touristy neighbourhood, which we liked. However, the entrance to the Vatican Museums is only 10-15 minutes walk, and St Peter's square and basilica is a further ten minutes' walk past the museum entrance. The metro takes you pretty much everywhere else. There is a taxi rank in the piazza just past the Metro station and a taxi to Termini with luggage cost our group 18 euros. Max met us at the apartment at the prearranged time at the end of our stay and repaid our security deposit. Overall, a fantastic apartment and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or stay here ourselves on any future trips to the "Eternal City".

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Doug for your meticulous reviews and all Your kind words.I m glad that all of you have appreciated your holiday in Rome. It was a pleasure to have you as my guests and I hope to see you again!!
Brought my grandson to Italy and the apartment was perfect. We used the apartment as our base and made day trips to Assisi and Pompeii and spent 3 days in Venice. It was comfortable, close to the Metro and had all the amenities including a coffee pot, I bought my own coffee and filters from home. Max is a wonderful host - he gives you a phone to use while you are in Italy and he is always available if you have questions. This is the economical way to go considering the price of hotels. It cost me almost as much for a 2 night stay in Venice as it did to rent the apartment.
