Located on 1 acre of private property with spectacular views looking east to Saanich Peninsula, Saltspring Island and Mount Baker. Low bank access to beach. Pebble beach has a gentle slope and is safe for swimming and boating. Relax and enjoy the spectacular ocean view from the large hot tub. The house is equipped with a new environmentally sensitive Geo Therm heating and air conditioning system as well as a high speed wireless computer network. Bakerview was completely renovated in 2007 - hardwood floors throughout, gourmet kitchen with granite counters, heated tile floors in kitchen and bathroom. Gazebo is privately located overlooking the beach - a great place from which to watch eagles, herons, swans, seals and whales. All major rooms overlook the ocean. Mill Bay village 1 block, Brentwood College School 1 block, Victoria 35 minutes, Duncan 20 minutes and Butchart Gardens 35 minutes by scenic Mill Bay Ferry. Small pets are permitted.

Bakerview: Mill Bay

This house was in a very lovely position overlooking Mill Bay, with access to a very large garden, hot tub, outside dining etc. Inside the house was very spacious and comfortable. The beautiful grandfather clock was, for some of our party, a "keep you awake" factor because of the chiming. However after a few days one did get used to it. The house was very well equiped with towels etc and the owners were extremely helpful in sending information about the island, prior to our visit. Mill Bay is close enough to Victoria to go there for a half day trip - which was very handy.
To be recommended.

Beautiful home

We had a fantastic time at the home! The furnishing were gorgeous and the views were amazing...the grounds were very well maintained and private.
My 2 children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, they constantly thought they saw "Orcas" in the bay -didn't have the heart to tell them they were seals :)
Within walking distance to Mill bay for any ammenties needed.
Victoria is a quick drive down the malahat...
Can't wait to come back when everything is in bloom!
Have already let my family know about this wonderful hideway on Mill bay!

Gorgeous house in Mill Bay

We have just returned from a week at Bakerview and our 4 year old son keeps saying he wants to go back! This house was the perfect spot for our family vacation: plenty of indoor room, a gorgeous backyard for rambunctious children and a lovely beach to throw lots of rocks. The house has everything you could need and the owners were so considerate when preparing their home for us. Fresh flowers, bedtime reading for our son and a bottle of wine were waiting for us! An added bonus was a wonderful, clean shopping center just a short walk from the house. There were days when the car never moved because we could walk to get what we needed. There is lots to do in the area, from hikes in the dense forest to totem pole tours in Duncan to a wine route around the island. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax and rejuvenate the soul while enjoying Vancouver Island. You will not be disappointed! I know our family will be returning to Bakerview someday.
