Located among mountains, the Valley Low (Val Miñor) of Rias Baixas Galician combines stunning scenery with a unique microclimate. The house is a stone's throw from all over the highway and connects it to the main places of Galicia. The closest points are Gondomar (3km), Baiona (7 miles), Playa America (4 km), Panxón (6 km), fishing town with a beautiful Votive-Oia (15 km), with its splendid Cistercian Monastery XII century Baroque façade, Tui (20 km) - city of historical and artistic interest, especially thanks to its XII century cathedral and other religious buildings. One step from Tui, crossing the International Bridge, you reach North Portugal, a region similar to Galicia with many interesting places.
The first thing you find when you get to Baiona is the sea, the promenade to the port, typical fishermen houses, modern buildings and shopping area, the fishing harbor, the fish market and a long pier. The marina is adjacent to Fort Monterreal historic grounds with stunning views over the Cies Islands, in the Bay of Baiona and Atllántico, which can be walked around its wall by the sea.
There are many restaurants where you can enjoy the prestigious Galician cuisine from their fine products: meat, fruit, vegetables, fresh fish and the best seafood. The area is also known for its fine wines, 5 with Designation of Origin: Monterrei, Rias Baixas, Ribeira Sacra, Ribeiro and Valdeorras and the famous Thalassotherapy seawater overlooking the Atlantic.
* CIES ISLANDS: Natural Park of crystalline waters, fine white sand beaches (the main beach was named by The Guardian as the best in the world). There are daily boats from Baiona. Viewing highly recommended!
