35 mins from Fort Myers Airport - Great location for boating, fishing, tennis, golf, cycling, walking, bird watching, painting, sun-downers, fresh sea food and star gazing. Lovely bright fresh rooms full of gentle frequency - 'and great new beds'. The house boasts a large screened lanai with sun beds, table and chairs, room for a party! - All rooms and Lanai overlook a landscaped garden and an original Calusa Indian canal, with views across Alden Pines Golf Course. No stairs the house is airy and open plan, air conditioning throughout. Room for 4 cars & a boat. Walk 2 mins to Golf Club, 5 mins to Marina for boat facilities, 7 mins to Tarpon Lodge for those special nights and drive 5 mins to Reds for great seafood! This is truly an island to nurture the soul - if you don't want quiet then St James City at the opposite end of the island offers fantastic 70's and 80's rock on Saturday afternoons at the Tikki bars - where you can sit back and watch the boats go by! Four leggeds welcome!

Beaches and Boating, Dolphin Watching and Shelling : Take a water taxi from the Marina to Cayo Costa which has a 7 mile white beach, this island has a rainforest, camping facilities & great for shelling & If you want cocktails on the way back check-in at Cabbage Key. The small beach on Pine Island road is great for kayaking and water is very shallow. History and Art and Bird Watching : Visit the Randolf Research Centre 5 mins walk from the house along the Calusa Indian Trail to the burial ground, you'll see Osprey, Egrets, Woodpeckers, Hawks and Eagles - or take a trip down to Matalacha for Friday's Art Gallery open house. Music & Rock : Visit Berts Bar in Matlacha or the Tikki Bars in St James City. Golf and Tennis : Become a temporary member for the day at Alden Pines Golf Club 2 mins from the house. Cycle & Buggies : Hire a buggie from the club for a fun way to get around the Island. Swimming and Water Aerobics / Sports - Pine Island Swimming pool offers many activities for adults and children. Food : Tarpon Lodge, Reds, Lazy Flamingo and lots of great seafood places in Matlacha. Dolphin watching: take a ride up to the top of the island at 5pm!!! Oh and almost forget angle 24 hours on Pine Island bridge, this is the best bridge in the world for fishing.

House sleeps 8, 2 bathrooms, large lounge and dining area - screened lanai which overlooks the garden & canal, plenty of room for 4 cars & a boat. Has River Otters, Osprey, Ibis, Herons, Cardinal Birds, Turkey Hawks, Wood Peckers & Box Turtles! If you like golfing then walk next door to Alden Pines Gold Club!

  • DEPOSIT:
    A 40% deposit is required to secure your booking, payment can be made by cheque or paypal, details will be provided on booking. The rates include water, electricity and air conditioning for short stays only. For stays of 1 month and over, you will be billed separately for electricity based your consumption amount.
  • HOUSEKEEPING

    Toilet paper, washing liquid, washing powder and drinking water are provided for your use, please replace to the same value when you leave for the next tenants.

    Please leave the house-clean when you leave, if you prefer a housekeeper to handle this for you, there will be an additional charge of 150USD.

    Baby sitting services are available, these are additional services which are not included in the rates, if you require a housekeeper or baby sitter or taxi service please let us know in advance of your stay.
  • PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
    The balance should be paid in cash on arrival or prior to your stay using PayPal, a deposit of 200USD will be requested for any breakages or damage, this will be returned to you on a successful departure.
    Cancellation can be made up to 10 days to receive 100% refund on your deposit

Notes: The Pool is Pine Island pool on Pine Island Rood, rates are 1.5USD per day - open 10pm-4pm, There are tables and sun loungers as well as shower / toilet and changing facilities. The pool has two swimming pool life guards with an area for diving, children and adults. There is also a Delhi bar across the road from the pool and beauty salon. The Delhi bar does amazing crab sandwiches - the best i've ever tasted!

We love Pine Island

We love Pine Island, and we enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner and local manager are very helpful and responsive to any concerns. My husband is a golfer. He played golf at Alden Pines three days a week, and I went to water aerobics at the community pool three times a week. There are two water taxi companies to take visitors to remote island communities. There are also fishing guide services for fishermen. We will return.
