Manor Farm Barn is a converted Dorset barn offering an extremely high standard of accommodation full of charm and character with ample space for up to eight people. The barn offers an extremely high standard of accommodation full of charm and character with ample space for up to eight people, either as a group or as a family. It is very well-equipped with all modern conveniences including a hob, a double oven, a dishwasher, washing machine, flat screen TV and DVD and, of course, central heating. One of the living rooms has an Inglenook fireplace, which provides a very cozy atmosphere for those nights in, and there is a separate dining room, which is beautifully decorated, and a further sitting room in which the TV/DVD are located. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms (one galleried) with two doubles and four twin beds and two bathrooms (one en-suite) and spectacular views over the open Dorset countryside. The garden lends itself to al fresco eating.

•The house is approached along a private road on which there is no through traffic and, in front of the house, there is adequate parking space for up to three cars.

•You walk to the house through a beautiful and well-tended garden where there is ample space for children to play in a secure environment. There is a sturdy gate at the entrance to the garden and there is a barbecue available.

•On entering the house itself, there is a small porch which is very useful for muddy boots after a long walk across the fields or those sandy sandals from the beach.

•You then walk into a large sitting room with a galleried room overlooking it. In the sitting room you will be able to relax in front of the Inglenook wood burner. Alternatively, you can watch the sun go down on a sunny summer's evening.

•On the far side of the sitting room is another large lounge which has a TV and DVD player. The room is furnished with two settees and an armchair, easily enough to accommodate eight people who want to watch TV, DVD's or just relax reading newspapers or a good book.

•At the end of the lounge a door leads to the dining room which provides a wonderful environment for great dinner parties or family meals.

•On the other side of the dining room is the lobby leading to the back door and the utility room where there is a washing machine and the central heating boiler. There is also a small downstairs WC at the end of the utility room.

•The kitchen is off the main sitting room with views over the beautiful garden. The kitchen has extensive work surfaces, two ovens, a microwave, a breakfast bar and is equipped with all modern appliances and equipment.

•From the sitting room, the stairs lead to the first floor on which there are four bedrooms, one galleried. On the left of the landing there is the yellow bedroom with wonderful views across the open Dorset countryside.

•On the left of the landing is the main bathroom, which is large and equipped with a bath and a power shower - see pictures.

•There are three further bedrooms (one galleried) and, out of the four bedrooms, two have double beds and two have twin beds (so four twin beds). The master bedroom is at the far end of the upstairs corridor and it has its own en-suite bathroom equipped with a fabulous, power shower.

This is a lovely property

Really enjoyed our stay in Dorset, Manor Farm cottages is a great base to explore the county and it is close to Lulworth cove and many other coastal sights. The cottage is open and spacious with more than enough room for our party which was 4 adults and 3 children. We always had great customer service from the ownwer and I would not hesitate recommending this property to people, friends and family.

a wonderful stay in this lovely barn!

What a find! We are a family of two adults, two teenagers and a young child, and this house fitted out needs perfectly for all sorts of reasons. It is quiet and secluded, with a lovely enclosed garden for a start - and easily within reach of lots of great places - Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door etc. The house itself is spacious, with the kids able to have a room each, which they loved. It is wonderfully well eqipped - we travel a lot, and this is proabably the best kitchen I have found in a rental property. Marc, the owner, could not have been more helpful, and I couldn't recommend this property any more highly - all in all, just perfect!

Fantastic

There's nothing bad I can say about our three night stay at this cottage. On arrival the cottage was clean and had all of the facilities that were stated on the website.
The pictures actually make the cottage appear a lot smaller than it is - there was definitely ample space for six fully grown men!

The surrounding area is stunning and there are plenty of beautiful walks in the immediate area. The abundance of water and rivers adds to the beauty of the area.

My only recommendation would to not go to the Stokeford Inn (the nearest pub). The pub itself is extremely dated, the food is not the best, and the barman is friendly but to call him bizarre would be an understatement. But Wareham is not far and Poole is only a few minutes on from there. Wool is also very near and has decent amenities.

All in all, an excellent stay and very easy to arrange with the cottage owner, Marc.

2, MANOR FARM BARN, EAST STOKE, DORSET

This was our second visit to 2, Manor Farm Barn, it has good accommodation for a large party of people but still maintains that 'cosy' feel about it. It is in a very quiet rural location but still close to all the attractions Dorset has to offer . The property is very clean and well presented and the owner is very welcoming and helpful.

We feel we could recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet get away but still enjoys their home comforts.

Smith Family Holiday

We had a wonderful holiday at 2 Manor Farm Barns even though the weather was very wet, we had rain for most of the week but the cottage was so spacious and roomy that it did not matter about the rain.
Our 2 year old Granddaughter had great fun running from room to room and exploring the cottage and its garden.
The rooms were all very spacious with a lovely family dining room and the property was spotless when we arrived, great care and attention has been taken by the Marc & Pascal to make this a home from home place to stay.
We had everything we needed in the cottage with plenty of cutlery and crockery everything was thought of .
The write up on this site is exactly as you find the cottage.
The owner provides lots of information for the area and a visit to Monkey World is well worth it. There are so many places to visit that there are too many to mention.
We would recommend this property to all of our friends and family as the perfect place to stay when visiting Dorset.

Thank you for making this a great holiday for us.

Another wonderful holiday at Manor Farm Barns

We are regular visitors to Manor Farm and every time we visit it is like coming home. The property is a real home from home, with everything you need. The facilities are great and always very clean. Even though the property sleeps 8 it is great for couples as well.

We had a fab holiday and it is a great location for exploring Dorset and Devon.

Notes We ask for a £100 security deposit which is returned swiftly after the rental period if the cottage has been left in good order.

We are happy to take a booking of 2 nights in the low season but there is a minimum charge of £365 to cover our costs. This can be either at weekends or during the week.
