Bayeux Apartment Rental Photos and Description
1 bedroom, bathroom, separate WC, kitchen, dining / living room area
Sunny 40m2 apartment on the top floor of a small building. Great view of the medieval cathedral Notre-Dame from the living room. Free wireless internet. Cable TV. It is situated on rue Saint Martin with its shopping, dining and strolling. The apartment is simple, basic, bright and pleasant. It has a separate bedroom with a 2-person bed. In the living room, there is a leather couch that converts to a bed. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 children. LGBT friendly. There are some stairs, so we do not recommend babies or toddlers. The bathroom includes a French-style tub with hand-held shower head. The WC is separate. Bed linens and towels are included for a small fee. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishes, cooking utensils, coffee pot, electric kettle and a washer/dryer. There is a DVD player and a stereo. It is a super location. Centrally-located in the historic center of Bayeux - close to everything.
Parking in the lot across the street (Halle aux Viandes) is free on Sundays and between 7 PM and 9 AM other days. If you are out and about most days, the lot works well. For longer daytime parking, there's a large free lot a 7-minute walk away (Place Saint Patrice).
Carrefour is a small supermarket less than 5 minutes away by foot on Rue Saint-Jean, right past the Bayeux tourism agency (very useful for maps, information on local and nearby activities). There are plenty of bakeries, pastry shops, sandwich places, as well as ethnic, traditional French and Norman restaurants within walking distance. On Wednesdays, there is an outdoor farmers market rue Saint Jean - about 200m away from the apartment. There is also a second outdoor farmers market up the Rue Saint Malo street on Saturday mornings. The centre Leclerc, Carrefour and Cora (on the way to Caen) are large supermarkets that sell food, wine, cider, electronics, books, movies, clothes and the like.

We live in New Mexico, but have family in Normandy so visit often. We love staying in our little apartment!
The view, listening to the cathedral bells, strolling the ancient streets of Bayeux... heaven!
The view is exquisite.
