Built in 2001, the Sunday River House is an open-concept chalet located in a secluded neighborhood. This spacious 5-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath retreat is fully furnished with a gas fireplace, large hot tub, a fully furnished kitchen, and cathedral ceilings. Located off the beaten path, it is still just a few minutes drive to the Sunday River Ski Resort and the historic Bethel village. On the main floor are 2 bedrooms, a full bath and the 'great room' consisting of the kitchen, dining and living rooms. This great room haswith 2 skylights, solid oak flooring and custom pine cabinetry. The kitchen is fully equipped for many guests and includes a stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot and many other cooking accessories. Unwind by the fireplace while watching cable TV or your favorite movie. French doors open to a large wrap-around deck where you will find a gas grill and a relaxing 5-person hot tub.

On the lower level you will find 3 additional bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, a family room, and washer & dryer. Two of the lower bedrooms have queen-sized beds while the third contains 2 sets of bunk beds. The family room has lots to do with a VCR, games and books.

We provide clean sheets and bedding for all beds. We hope that you will sign our guest book in the house upon departure of your stay at the Sunday River House.

The Sunday River/Bethel area offers a vacationer many options for outdoor activities. Included is, of course, some of the Northeast's best skiing, both downhill and cross-country, as well as ice-skating, snowshoeing, sledding and snowmobiling. During the summer months, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and biking are available. Nearby are a miniature golf course, a huge water slide, shops in historic Bethel, and many restaurants and nights spots.

Great place and location

This house worked out great. There was a group of 12 of us that stayed here for a long weekend. The place was both spacious and clean, and only about 10 minutes away from the mountain. Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others. If we ever venture back to Sunday River we'll definitely look into renting out this house again.

My family had such a great time at the Sunday River House. After a busy day skiing and hiking it was so nice to come home to a well equipped, comfortable home. The open living main floor was wonderful as we were able to cook and be with the family. The owner had even set up a Christmas tree for us! The teenager could get away from the adults in there own living area downstairs that also had 3 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. It was a wonderful memory that we hope to have again next year.

Great House in great location

The house was great- even better than the pictures show. It is extremely well maintained. The owner was readily available and very accommodating . We had 10 people in our group and we fit very comfortably. We spent 3 days skiing and had a blast. I definitely recommend the Sunday River House. It has everything from location (for skiing), size, and accommodations (i.e. appliciances, hot tub, and deck).
