Enjoy life in Tokyo!
I stayed at this perfect apartment for one week while attending a conference at the Tokyo International Forum (15 minutes by taxi - best haled from TCAT - or 25 minutes by Metro - 3 stops, 1 connection). Given that I had conference events every night, I did not take advantage of the kitchen or the washer/dryer all-in-one unit. Still, both were in immaculate shape.
Many times I stayed in rentals where the promised WiFi was slow or even nonexistent. Not the case here. The WiFi is quite fast, which made my task of checking into the office or using Skype on my mobile phone no problem at all.
The location is on a quiet street within a 3-minute walk from TCAT. There are a few corner shops within a 5-minute walk, but you are not going to find nightlife here (or at least I saw little). The neighborhood was extremely safe, so I also highly recommend the apartment for families on vacation. If cooking on vacation is your thing, then the efficiently laid out and spotless kitchen should work quite well for you.
TCAT to/from Narita or Haneda seems like the obvious choice for departures and arrivals. But I did not use TCAT. I took the Narita Express to/from Tokyo Station (different from TCAT, as I discovered on arrival). Tokyo Station is a 10 minute cab ride away, though I recommend that you give the address to the driver in Japanese and/or mention TCAT, as the address might pose an issue. If you take the subway from Tokyo Station, which I only recommend with light baggage, then it is 3 stops/1 change.
Finally, Hisae, the rental agent with whom I worked, was just terrific. She waited outside on that Saturday night when I arrived 30 minutes late, and showed me everything that I needed to know about the property. It is her diligent, dedicate and friendly work that makes this property a top recommendation of mine to my business colleagues if they are looking for this type of property in Tokyo.
Well done, A+
Wow, honestly fantastic! I agree with the other reviewer- I don't want to tell you how great it is because it's that good. I want to keep it my little secret place in Tokyo!
The location is AMAZING! You are so central to everything. All of the great sites and places you want to go in Tokyo aren't that far by train or even walking. The station is very close and on the way there are several convince stores and even a smaller grocery store to stop at and get meal food and snacks. The area is clean and safe and has it's own cool sites to see around it.
The apartment is also amazing. It is so clean, comfortable, current, and tidy. They have everything you need (even shampoo and conditioner which I was surprised by!). The AC works really well too so don't worry about dying of that Tokyo heat. The washing machine/dryer are an amazing amenity to have and laundry soap is included. It's great because they have detailed english instructions on how to use everything. This place just makes you happy walking into it's got such a great feeling about it. Oh yes and they have wi-fi!
Ayako is the best person you could ever ask for as she is prompt, efficient, and amazing. Her service is phenomenal and you really couldn't ask for better. We will rent from her again not only because her properties are great, but because she is so wonderful to deal with.
Oh and to note, there were 4 adults staying together and it worked great for us.
Overall this is definitely a 5 out of 5 stay and I know that all 4 of us will definitely stay there again when we go back to Tokyo. Whether we go together or separately! You will not regret. It is everything you could want for an amazing stay in Tokyo.
the apartment is really very nice, clean and comfortable. We were in 3 (2 adults + one 11's child). both beds are large and soft and we still have lots of space to place our baggages. the kitchen is useful and the washer and dryer is a must. you do not lose time going to a laundry. wifi has a strong signal. but the very best is the location. it's 3 minutes by walking from the tube and from the T-cat so arriving from the airport is so easy, you have only to get on the limousine bus and enjoy the travel. there's a convenient market 2 minutes by walking and neighbours are nice and safe.
OK, I hate to tell you about this place..because we plan on using it again and I dont want it to be booked when we do!
This is a great location for TCAT bus and Hanzomon subway line, which is a great line for Saitama (where my wife's family lives) and Omotesando, Shibuya, Tokyo station etc. etc. If you have any idea how to use the Tokyo subway, this place is a gem...if you dont, you will have fun getting to learn it, it is super convenient - but will take more time to figure out - I suggest you put the time in ahead of time to learn the lay of the land.
The apartment itself is a super efficient apartment, clean, on the second floor (stairs), with all you need. It is next to Sumida river, which means you actually get a breeze in the summer, which helps it be a little cooler - also no late afternoon sun hitting the window, which also helps.
Bed is good and comfortable, toaster takes a little time to figure out (it is in same unit as microwave), but all the appliances work and are clean.
Most of all, Ayako is honest and responsive, helpful and also not around bothering you when you dont need her. A perfect combination.
All that being said, i hope you dont rent this place when I am travelling in Japan with my family.
BTW - we were a family of three (8 year old son). Perfect for couple or family like us (make also two kids ok, but not as ideal).

My daughter and I stayed at Kame 1 and were very pleased with our experience! It was easy to make arrangements with Ayako via email. Hisae met us at the apartment when we arrived and explained everything to us; she was very helpful and left a book with instructions for everything in English. The studio apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. I appreciated using the laptop with free Wi-Fi to stay in touch with my family in the US. The apartment was conveniently located and in a nice, quiet area. The bathroom was newly renovated and clean. The beds were so comfortable as well. We looked forward to ending each day in this quaint apartment, and highly recommend it to others!
Ayako gave precise directions from Narita to the apartment and she was waiting for us although we were running about 30 minutes late. Our family of 5 managed quite well in this apartment although the flight of steps was pretty steep considering our daughter was still in an orthopedic boot from having broken her leg. Getting the wheel chair and carrying our daughter up the stairs was a hard finish to a long day moving about Tokyo up and down subway stairs and just lots of walking. Coming back to a clean apartment with clean bedding, and comfortable i should add, was a nice retreat. I will say that we had a hard time finding a restaurant in the vicinity of the apartment on the first evening. We ended up finding a noodle bowl place where you buy the ticket before entering the restaurant. A Japanese friend stopped by and made the comment that there were no good eating places near the apartment. I would say that this was mostly true. I really enjoyed the Japanese T.V. just before bed and upon waking up. That the apartment was WiFi friendly was a must since all 5 of us worked our I-Phones. Having the ability to prepare breakfast and dinner was a must after being out seeing the sites all day. We shopped at the international grocery store Kinokunia in Omotesando, which was great. It was nice to be able to wash and dry our clothes in the apartment and that Ayako provided laundry soap was great! I would definitely recommend this apartment to others. The only drawback was that payment by credit card wasn't available. I had to pay 2% of the total to PayPal for the exchange which I wasn't happy about. The apartment was relatively centrally located. The heater was good to have since the apartment got a little chilly. Overall a great stay!
It is convenient location!!
The apartment close to T-CAT (Tokyo City Air Terminal).
25mins from Haneda Airport and 55mins from Narita Airport.
And it is close to Ningyocho.
Ningyocho is sophisticated district of old down town Edo with history and tradition, located in central Tokyo’s Nihonbashi.
This neighbourhood with a flair of old down town Edo is home of Amazake Yokocho street, and is popular among people young and old.
