Description of the Great Barrington vacation house rental
This charming Cape style home is situated on 15+ acres of woods and lawns and perennial gardens.
There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor, one with private bath and one large carpeted bedroom upstairs.
The living room is spacious with lots of light from 4 windows, including a large bay window. It holds two sofas, a recliner and winged chairs for relaxing in front of a fireplace or watching your favorite TV show. We have built-in book shelves stocked with a variety of reading interests as well as games and puzzles for a renewed family affair.
The sunny dining room is very cozy with built-in corner hutches and bay window.
The kitchen is fully equipped with updated appliances and everything you need to make your gourmet specialty.
The basement is spacious with a new Maytag washer & dryer, folding table and ironing board.
There are lawns surrounding the house with perennial flowers, bushes and tall mature fir trees.

We are just a few minutes to Great Barrington (3mi), Stockbridge (4 mi) and Lenox(6-7 mi).
The Berkshires are famous for its cultural events and boasts a variety of interests; including: The famous Red Lion Inn, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum, Chesterwood, Naumkeg, Stockbridge Playhouse, MacHayden Theater, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Opera and many other theaters. Minutes from Kripalu or Canyon Ranch and other great Yoga and fitness places.
Mass Moca is about a 30 min drive.
Great Barrington offers many antique and specialty shops, bookstores as well as a Triplex Cinema, and great restaurants. Mexican food, good sushi & vegetarian places and all else in between.
Two miles from Housatonic Village which features many art galleries, a variety store and main street restaurant.
Outdoor beauty, adventure & serenity abounds in the Berkshires.

We are near many parks, lakes, rivers and hiking trails: Beartown State Forest, Monument Mountain, the Appalachian Trail, Lake Mansfield, Stockbridge Bowl, Ice Glen, Green River, Umpacheenee Falls...& on. Biking, canoeing & fishing. Ski Butternut, Catamount, Bousquet or Jiminy Peak. Most have activities in the summer as well. Most of all experience, enjoy, and relax!
Ski: 15 minutes to Butternut Basin and close to other ski areas in the Berkshires.
