Guestbook comments from the manager
We loved our time in this villa. The pool is the main attraction, it's huge and the kids were happy with the slide for hours. The gardens are large and filled with huge palms which is v romantic. The outside eating area is relaxed, and the cooking annex great for families, to be able to keep the cooking activity separate. The bedrooms are ok, not cosy as tiled floors in the Italian way, but authentic and romantic. There is a huge tv and blu ray player, which actually proved rather shamefully useful in the heat of the middle of the day. Its not for you if you are after isolation and total peace and quiet, it's amid other holiday villas, and you can hear the beach bar music from the outside eating area late in the eve (but not the bedrooms which have sound windows, so sleeping is fine)' we kind of liked the holiday feeling of the cheesy music wafting across. Gianvito who looks after you is v reliable, and charming, he arranged for the pool pump to be fixed within hours of our noticing a problem, so we weren't impacted at all. One thing to point out is that you use the air con in the bedrooms, you will likely pay extra for electricity (which seems to be pretty standard for Italian rentals), we paid 80euro for four rooms for two weeks, which didn't seem bad to be able to sleep comfortably (and the villa is good value overall).
If you do stay here, don't miss Kibar on the main road up from the villa, it's fab for morning coffee and pastry, and eve drinks and dinner.
