'Shipps Landing' is located in a secluded community on Lake Blackshear in Southern Georgia. Lake Blackshear is a Power Commission Lake located 12 miles west of Cordele off I-75. It is a 2 hr, 15 minutes. drive from Atlanta Airport. Enjoy fishing, boating, and just plain relaxing on one of Georgia's undiscovered lakes. The cabin is nicely furnished with three bedrooms, a great room, a screened porch upstairs, and an open porch downstairs.

A boat dock and nearby community boat ramp are available. Enjoy a hunting trip at a local plantation or golf at one of three local courses. Climate is excellent for outdoor activities year round. Nearby Georgia Veterans State Park includes a golf course, beach, and other attractions. Local restaurants have been featured in national magazines. Andersonville National Historic Site and the Jimmy Carter Museum in Plains are within 30 minutes travel.

    We have a downstairs studio apartment that is available on request for an additional fee. It has a queen bed and a private bath. It is not rented separately from the main house.
