Cozy, family/pet friendly B&B features: 12'x38' indoor heated pool (3 walls of screened, picture windows), an outdoor six person hot tub in season (starry, starry nights), large, unique woodland labyrinth, gorgeous organic gardens feature perennials/annuals, vegetable, herb, and fruit (owners share their gardening knowledge), six comfortable, colorful rooms - many with cots for kids; two are suites sleeping 4-5; pull-out couches, trundle beds, futons . All rooms with private baths. On-site services: breakfast, housekeeping. Owners or staff stay on-site for upkeep of pool, home, and gardens. Baby-sitting. Huge kitchen - all equipped - is shared. Extra refrigerators, coffee pots, microwaves. All amenities: lawn/beach games, beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, blankets, indoor, board games. Several large gathering rooms, one with unique stone/shell fireplace in our lodge style dining/sun room.

Tidal pools, rocky outcrops, large wading pools, 'float-down, rivers, body/regular surfing, kayaking (ponds/ocean), surf-fishing. Historic sites: Forts at Popham, Maine Maritime (Bath) with a boardable sloop, lobster/boat building demos, cruises. Lighthouses, foliage, island, nature, etc. Also: Civil War - Joshua Chamberlain - Brunswick; Arctic-Peary/McMillan - Bowdoin College; Maine State Augusta; railroad, docks, museums, other forts. Museums: Farnworth (Wyeth) Rockland; Portland Museum of Art; Children's Museum in Portland. Aquarium, whale watches, Island Ferries, Windjammer sails, nature sails, bay sails, kayaking. Theater at Summer-long festivals: Maine State Music theater, Monmouth, Music at The Chocolate Church, Highland Games, Blues Festivals, lobster festivals, 4th of July Heritage Days. Family/fine/ethnic dining.

Expansive, clean, white sandy beaches nearby (six miles of them). Beach erosion has created shallow, reasonably warm water temperatures (really!). Areas for body/regular surfing, kayaking, river floating, tidal pools, sand castle building, long walks, surf-fishing, beach sports (the ultimate, ultimate frisbee beach at Popham Beach State Park).
