Discover a beautiful pocket of the Aegean sea, in a stunning villa perched on top of a hill, overlooking Skiathos town and the neighboring islands. The villa has been completely renovated and lovingly restored in 2012 with a lot of attention to detail, keeping with the local traditions as well as all the modern comforts.

Skiathos stone and local masonry techniques were used throughout. Master carpenters from the island crafting the beams and the ceiling from chestnut wood sourced from the holy mountain Mount Athos. Natural polished stone floors throughout. Underneath the rustic charm, the highest standard of technology has been integrated: underfloor cooling, heating, dehumidifying and hot water, all centralized by one system for less environmental impact.

The house is surrounded by a protected nature forest reserve and this openness to the nature gives the house a sense of undisturbed space and tranquility. The villa is ideal for all age groups as it is spread out all over one floor

The house is split into three sections: central part is the open plan living and kitchen area, fully equipped with double oven and grill, gas hob, fridge/freezer and dish washer. The kitchen layout is perfect for communal cooking and socializing. It opens up to the terrace via 2 sets of wooden shutter doors and onto the outside dining area, which seats 6 people (Can potentially seat 10).

The second section, leading from the kitchen/living area is the master bedroom and en suite bathroom/wet room. It has a double bed and dressing table, and a plenty of storage space in the fitted wardrobe. It is bright and airy and opens up onto the terrace via 3 sets of wooden shutter doors with spectacular views of Skiathos and surrounding islands.

The third section comprises of two further double bedrooms and an additional bathroom. The second double bedroom also has its own set of wooden shutter doors leading to the terrace. Each bedroom has a double bed and plenty wardrobe space.

It is located on the exclusive Kalamaki peninsula, which is 7km from Skiathos town and 6km from Koukounaries, which makes the villa within an easy reach of the island's natural beauty spots.

The villa's local beach Vromolimnos is 10 minutes walk away, and has fine golden sand and crystal-clear waters, as well as a taverna, beach bar and water sports facility.

There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road and this bus service takes you along the main road from one side of the island to the other.

    The remaining balance of 75% will have to be paid on your arrival date.

  • There will be a weekly cleaning service which will include change of linen and towels. This service is free of charge. There is also an offer for an airport transfer if needed. A car rental service can be arranged for you in Skiathos town, if you haven't already booked one.

    If you would like to explore neighboring islands, secluded beaches or coves, a boat rental service is also possible and can be arranged for a day during your stay at Villa Maia.

An amazing "love at first sight" villa.
A beautiful place to stay, on a wonderful island.

The property is fantastic, new, decorated in a simple but very stylish way. Tranquil and private, only a few minutes drive from the best beaches.
The house was very clean, the owner provided everything that could make your stay comfortable. The huge garden is very well kept, the kids loved running and playing around, and we enjoyed chilling out in the evening.
It is definitely the place to go back again and again. We were planning our come back since the first day .
We highly recommend the villa to any kind of visitors, younger or older, with or without kids. You will definately enjoy every second of your stay!

Villa Maya is a beautiful villa with an amazing view. very clean and conforable with alla you need to spend your holiday in peace. the owner is honest, very friendly and he took care about us. we suggest to all of you to rent this villa if you twant spestay in skiathos with your family and friends .

Fabulous Villa - stunning location

I stayed here with my finance and another couple and had a fantastic break, it's a shame we were only able to stay a week. The villa is spacious, clean, and simply decorated which creates a nice atmosphere. The property appears well kept and is both private and peaceful and we felt it was good value for money if with only four of us.

It is a short drive or slightly longer walk if you're in the mood, to a range of beaches both secluded and more vibrant and commerical. There is also a handy shop a short walk so you are not 100% committed to mopeds / a car / the bus etc. The main bedrooms are large, airy and well appointed and both bathrooms are equally sized and well finished (an unusual but much appreciated feature when sharing). Be aware you will need to drive to and from the port / town centre and need to remember which turn to take in the dark!!

Nice touches include a very friendly neighbourly cat, shutters in every room so you can leave the doors / windows open and still have privacy and tables in a range of spots around the place so you can always sit in shade or sun and good internet connection.

We did not use the third bedroom but its worth noting the two main bedrooms are at opposing sides of the villa so you are not on top of one another.

Good value, well recommended.
