SCENIC ISLAND HOME (ACCESSIBLE BY BRIDGE)

To say that this delightful holiday home ticks all the boxes is an understatement! It is situated, not far from the village of Sneem, in the most stunning location with outstanding views of the Kenmare river with it's glorious backdrop of mountains and magnificent scenery.
The house itself is really well laid out with ensuite facilities in every bedroom. While the outside of the house is modest it belies the pristine and tastefully decorated modern interior. It is bright, clean and very well equipped with all the usual modern conveniences. The kitchen is well finished and practical with a large kitchen table and there is a comfortable family room with TV and music system. Everything is very well maintained. However, the owners have created another sitting room upstairs which, being elevated, affords the most stunning panoramic views of the bay and surrounding countryside - perfect for a quiet read or just to sit and absorb the extraordinarily beautiful vista.
The house is easily accessable and is only a few minutes by car to the village of Sneem. There are lots of pubs and restaurants in the area and of course, plenty to see and do. Kerry is one of the most beautiful locations in the world in my opinion for walking, sight seeing or just getting away from it all.
For me the cream on the cake was my bedroom - every morning I awoke and when I opened my eyes they were directly opposite a window which was at the perfect height for me to enjoy the ever changing Kerry weather from my bed.
You could travel a long way to find such a hidden gem. I couldn't recommend this property highly enough - there is no better base from which you can explore the delights of Kerry. It get's a 5 star rating from me - the perfect retreat!

Kerry is not known affectionately as "The Kingdom" without good reason. My recent trip to Sneem took me right into the heart of this magical Place. As one drives south from Dublin and into The mountain pass necessary to enter Kerry one feels that we are entering a time warped magical place. First through Kenmare and then on to to Sneem driving down the side of the very large Kenmare River. This entire area was granted to The English scientist Sir William Petty as part Payment for The mapping of Ireland.
We arrived at our bungalow which sits on the side of a small estuary off The main river. Magnificent views across The Mountains and down The river to the see.
The house itself beautifully appointed with a large en suite and Lounge upstairs again with magnificent views. Downstairs a further 3 bedrooms and a fantastic Kitchen. if one is lucky to enjoy a day stolen from Nature then there is the beautiful outside area to enjoy the full view of The kingdom
In Kerry one has all The seasons in one day and even all at once. One can pan 360 degrees and see rainbows and sun all at once.
Kerry is very much make up your mind on what to do once one has seen the day. it could be a day for The high Stool(The Pub). A day hike on The Kerry way which is nature at its very best. A walk on the many Magnificent Beaches. Visit Sneem or Kenmare on Fair Day where it seems the entire Countryside empties into one of Ireland's Prettiest Towns. Kenmare is full of Great Pubs and Restaurants. From here there are 2 great scenic drives. The ring of Kerry which takes you up and down many of The Fjord like characteristics that exist. The other Journey is a journey around The Beara Peninsula.
There is so much to do in Kerry and it seems like all day to do it as time stands totally still in this charming and special haven of south west Ireland. would recommend seeing this part of the world.
