Lovely private two-story 4 unit condo/townhouse. Located in East Vail at free shuttle bus stop to the lifts. Private parking. Beautiful mountain views of Baldy and the East Vail Chutes (ski into Tallbear for Extreme skiers only!). Complete kitchen with Hadley dishes. 2 bedrooms up, one with queen bed, one with 2 single beds, down comforters, 2 bathrooms, one with jacuzzi spa plus sink in master bedroom. Adjacent to the East Vail hiking trails and creek. 'An awesome location' --(New Year's week 2008 comment.)

Hiking, Golfing and Nordic Skiing: Our popular recreation path winds from East Vail to West Vail and is ideal for a walk, jog or bike ride. The path meanders along peaceful Gore Creek, a mountain stream perfect for fly fishing or cooling off. Along the way, the beaver ponds are a terrific location for an afternoon or evening picnic as is Bighorn Park, a short stroll from our condo. East Vail is also the staging point for many of Vail's most popular hiking trails. Home to the Trailheads for the Pitkin Creek, Deluge Lake, Gore Creek, Bighorn and Booth Falls trails, East Vail is considered the gateway to the Gore Range. Also linking East Vail to Vail Village is the 18 hole public-play, par-72 Vail Golf Course including the Seasons at the Green Restaurant and Bar with spectacular views of the Gore Range and a wonderful outdoor patio. During the winter months, the golf course is transformed into a Nordic Skiing Center with groomed trails spanning the length of the snow-covered course.

Other Activities: skiing / our famous 7 back bowls snowboarding, cross country skiing, art galleries, 100+ restaurants, people watching.

Our ski vacation at Tall Bear was very nice. The condo was clean, quiet, cozy and well stocked. We loved our cake that was waiting on the counter upon our arrival! There was a huge dog park just a couple of blocks down the road. Also, the Vail shuttle stopped very frequently right outside the front door...very convenient!

A nice, warm and comfortable lodge

We found Tall Bear a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. A cake was waiting in the kitchen for us when we arrived, and the condo was well maintained and well stocked. The neighborhood is lovely--just perfect for summer walks in the evening. We immediatelyl felt at home, and enjoyed the beautiful views from the convenient location.
