It is one thing to go on vacation and stay at a hotel, it is still another to go to a location within walking distance of a lovely local neighborhood with interesting shops as well as restaurants, and it is still another when you are lucky enough to find yourself within a stroll of a beach or a harbor... This property is anything but a hotel, it is a vacation spot with all the comforts of home within walking distance of the beach, the harbor, local fine restaurants, and interesting shopping experiences.
The Balboa Island community is well-known to those familiar with southern California, but getting a place near this community or within it is a difficult task. More difficult still is finding a lodging that feels like home, which is another task altogether… If that’s what you’re looking for, this is your new vacation home!
It is intimate, and yet has a large family room and family dining area and a comfortable kitchen. While my family and I stayed there we had the ability to eat in and cook up a gourmet meal together in the kitchen making use of the gas grill outside on the patio, or, we could eat out. Frankly our best meal was with family and friends ‘in’, with the French doors open to the patio where we were greeted by an ocean breeze and the savory smell of our bountiful meal.
The bedrooms are nicely appointed and the bathrooms are more than adequate to serve a large family. The master bedroom has French doors that open to a soothing ocean breeze; and sadly should you need to make use of it, there is also the facility for a home office as well.
It is a clean, delightfully homey, vacation spot in the middle of the Balboa Island community, and our family would highly recommend it to a couple for an intimate time together or a family looking for an adventuresome water-sport filled week with one another. This property can fit the bill for a wide range of experiences, and it is my hope that you will enjoy it as much as my family and I did.
