Before you enter, it is already clear that a typical Dutch house concerns. The house has five floors. After entering the ground floor you can see the newly built but traditional kitchen and dining room. The total floor area of the original Dutch house is 80m2, this ensures that the look and the rooms (16m2) are very cozy. Advantages: Located in the old town Dutch character 5 floors Disadvantages: Narrow stairwells Small rooms
This is a great place to stay. It's really central and spacious for a group of friends. The house itself is lovely and we'll decorated. The stairs are difficult for very tall people tho. Beds are super comfy! The bathroom is small but has a good hot and powerful shower. There's some noise at night but we all expected this being in the city centre. Good coffee shops close by and lots of places to eat out as well as super markets close by to eat in. The kitchen facilities were really appreciated, especially the coffee machine! The owners are friendly, welcoming, and very hospitabe. There is also plenty of tourist and local info in the house. I would definitely go again and certainly recommend it to others.
Ideal location to reach almost all sights by foot walk. And you can buy evreything you need for a one week stay in many of the smaller retailers close to the cosy house. The kitchen was well equipped for plain dishes. Really recommended for mid aged, mid sized people as the very narrow staircase might be challenging for smaller children or tall or handicaped people:-) Many Thanks to our host Cinta.
We had a great time in the histroric house. It was perfect for the four of us, as we each had a floor each, with a great kitchen for hanging as a group. Location was central, but not too busy, beds were comfy, wifi fast and showers hot ... we had everything we need! Check in and out was a breeze. Recommended (but not for babies or elderly .. stairs are steep!)
Our host was Simon who we phoned when we arrived at the airport. (Please note check in time is 3pm to previous reviewer) He met us and settled us in. The 5 stars goes to the charm of the house and how it is centrally located. The chinese restaurant on the corner is fabulous and walk to wok. Because there was no guest before us we arrived at 11.30am a 10 minute walk from central station. (4 euros from airport 17 mins trip). There is a coffee shop on the corner which wafts a very thick aroma through the windows of the house. We were a group of 50+ women who had a safe and fab time.
We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely traditional Dutch property, less than a 5 minute walk to all the main city centre hot spots, and is located down a quiet street so is not affected by any noise at night. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to do all our cooking ourselves. The beds were comfy, all round the property is Good value for the money, we found the house practical rather than luxury, but then again if you're looking for luxury, go to the 1000 euro a night Sofitel grand next door! With that in mind, the location and facilities here for the money was spot on, we will be returning!
This house was great, clean and well located. We enjoyed our stay in this fantastic city and we recommend this rent.
The old center of Amsterdam is probably best known for prostitution and coffee shops. Fortunately, there is yet to be discovered in the canal much more. In the old town you will find the beautiful canal houses and the famous Amsterdam canals. A minutes walk is the Dam, the most famous square of Amsterdam (and probably the Netherlands). Around this point, the city developed historically. The dam is 750 meters from Amsterdam Central Station. All known streets, such as the Damstraat, the Warmoesstraat and the Kalverstraat come from the Dam. In the beautiful surroundings is all but a minute later. Shopping in the Kalverstraat, a business meeting at The Grand or Krasnapolski, good restaurants along the canals and the nightlife of the Rembrandtplein. In summary, the best place if you are visiting Amsterdam.
