The area of Murcia with its consistently great climate has everything from stunning beaches through historic cities of Murcia and Cartagena along with countless new golf and holiday resorts, the area is rapidly becoming first choice for visitors to Spain.
The beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor and Puerto de Mazzaron are around 35 minutes drive.
The golf course at Hacienda Del Alamo is simply one of the best in Spain and is now a European Tour venue hosting PGA European Tour Qualifying School stage 2 in November 09 and 10.
Leisure facilities on site include bars and restaurants, play areas, fitness circuit, tennis and basketball bowls greens and of course the 7400 yard Dave Thomas designed championship golf course plus a 6 hole training course and some of the best golf practice facilities to be found anywhere.
The traditional Spanish town locally is Fuente Alamo, it is just a few minutes drive and has plenty of shops bars clubs and restaurants, as well as a small on site shop there are large supermarkets in the local town which always have a good stock of fresh local produce.
The Murcia region is served by 2 major airports Alicante approximately 1hr 10 minutes away and San Javier Murcia Airport which is about 35 minutes away. There are a number of carriers including Ryanair, Easyjet, Brirsh Airways, Monarch, Jet2, Air Berlin and more. The new Murcia airport currently under construction is less than 15 minutes form the resort, it is due to open in the latter part of 2102.
