A separate fully-equipped kitchen provides the perfect place in which to cook delicious meals or to enjoy the services of a private chef during your stay. A large gas hob range with oven is complemented by a full host of appliances including a toaster, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher and a long practical marble work top and breakfast table. French doors lead directly out to an ‘alfresco’ dining area and BBQ, which is ideal for informal lunches as well as romantic lake view dinner parties in the magical twilight.

Further reception rooms are situated to the loft-style level of the villa’s second floor. These low beamed ceiling rooms enjoy a relaxed ambience which makes them ideal for movies and modern day entertainment, with a large flat screen TV with DVD player, a comfortable seating area and a pool table and gym area provided.

The sleeping accommodation is ideal for large parties and groups of up to 10, with 5 beautifully presented double bedrooms which feature lake or garden view interiors and also exude a tranquil haven in which to relax and unwind at the end of a fun-filled day. Each bedroom is extremely bright and spacious and 2 of the double bedrooms are featured in the Italian ‘matrimonial style’; with two single beds romantically joined to form a double.

The bedrooms are further complemented by 3 modern bathrooms to the villa which each feature a power shower and high quality fixtures and fittings.

Aside from the splendid internal accommodation, the lakefront garden is arguably the jewel in this property’s crown, with beautifully landscaped lawns leading under shady mature trees to an extensive sunny terrace area perfect for both relaxing and entertaining.

Various outdoor sitting areas provide the perfect spot for an evening’s aperitifs’ and the ‘alfresco’ dining area with BBQ is ideal for hosting long and unhurried lunches and dinner parties.

Sun loungers are also provided for guests’ additional comfort and nothing feels better then relaxing in the sunshine with a glass of chilled wine whilst listening to the softly lapping water below! A jetty also provides the opportunity for guests arriving by power boat to jump off and enter the villa in privacy.

The picturesque historical village of Pognana Lario is perfectly situated to enjoy the true beauty and tranquillity of Lake Como and it is easily accessible from Como city, which is just a 16 minute drive away.

Pognana Lario is 15 km from Como on the road to Bellagio. We can assist if required by taking your baggage by boat to/from Villa for check in and check out, from a nearby small harbour. You can leave your car on the main road higher up and come down some 150 m on a footpath to get to the gate. You cannot park the car in front of the gate. Between the various villa's along the coast line there is a flat footpath, which also leads to the public boat stop, from where you can take the boat towards Como.

The cosmopolitan lakeside capital of Como enjoys a wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as elegant boutique-lined streets, a fascinating historical centre and an exciting cultural calendar; with concerts, exhibitions and events being hosted throughout the year at the famous palatial venues of Villa Olmo and nearby Villa Erba.

Transport links from Como city are also excellent, with fast motorway links to the wider Lombardy region and Switzerland, frequent train services to Milan and its airports and also a frequent ferry service to the famous central lake resort towns.
