Guestbook comments from the owner
You've created a most comforting retreat for all who visit. We enjoyed a most peaceful weekend exploring nature under a full moon with calming memories of our hike in the Rockefeller Preserve in Grand Teton National Park. "Heavenly"

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week's respite at this comfy, cute, quiet and clean guest house. Great location, great views and walking distance to two restaurants but still secluded. Very accommodating owners. We can't wait to return!

SECOND WONDERFUL VACATION TO GRAND TETONS & BURT BARN GUEST HOUSE

Second Wonderful Vacation to Grand Tetons & Burt Barn Guest House
  • 5 of 5
This review is also long over due... My husband and I stayed at Burt's Barn in June of 2011 and had a wonderful time, so much so that we didn't even think of looking for another place to stay on our second visit to the Tetons. The accommodations are immaculate! From the lovely flowers at your doorstep, to a well equipped kitchen, everything you need is there for a comfortable stay. The pictures on the website do not do it justice it's more beautiful in person...just like the mountains are more beautiful in person! The proximity of Burt’s Barn to town and to the parks makes it an ideal place to stay. The kind advice that Becky and Jayne shared with us on things to see, hikes to take, and places to dine were indispensable. We would definitely highly recommend this property to a friend or relative, as long as we can come along. :) If you love the outdoors and wildlife this place is heaven!

A PERFECT RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
Why did it take me so long to write a review? It was this time last year that my husband and I stayed at Burt Barn for a week's retreat in Jackson and we talk about it constantly - and dream about a return visit. Becky and Jayne couldn't have been better hosts. The guest house was exactly as it was pictured in the listing and impeccably clean. The location was perfect for our outdoor trail-blazing "fix" and close to cross-country and down-hill skiing. We hiked, skiid, snow-mobiled (with a guide) in Yellowstone, and my husband got his daily run in, even with snow on the ground. We have referred several family members and friends to Burt's Barn and to Jackson - it is one of the best decisions we ever made. We expect to return - and we promise not to take so long next time to write our review!

EXCELLENT 4-NIGHT STAY AT THIS CHARMING BARN

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I were visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton Park for the first time this October. We like renting from VRBO because the accommodations are always nicer, the prices are more appropriate, and you don't have to haggle with hotels. Burt's Barn was a wonderful and extremely comfortable place to stay. Nice beds with down comforters, towel warmer with plush white towels, gas logs in den, and a beautiful view. Becky spoke with us several times and had great ideas for getting into the parks and where to eat. The kitchen was well equipped, and we had access to games, books, maps, etc. Burt's Barn is extremely close to Grand Teton Park and about an hour to an hour and a half from Yellowstone. Perfect location. This is a great place to stay!

A WONDERFUL JACKSON HOLE HIDEAWAY!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I stayed two weeks in the Tetons: the first week at Jenny Lake Lodge and the second week at the Burt Barn. Both weeks were delightful but as wonderful as Jenny Lake Lodge is, we thought that the Burt Barn was extremely restful and quiet in its own charming way. Below is a note which I sent to our family which summarizes how wonderful this place is. We definitely will be back next August. Hats off to Becky and Jayne for a lovely, well equipped and serene apartment in the mountains!
"We're on the second half of our Teton vacation and are now ensconced in this gorgeous guest house near Teton Village. Our beautiful apartment has two bedrooms, a big bathroom with washer and dryer and a huge living area with gorgeous views out a large picture window of the mountains, plus a very spacious deck for meals among the trees.

This morning, I took a nice five mile run, and not a quarter mile from the house I met one of our neighbors - not of the human variety. My first clue that some thing was different was when a bike rider, who was 75 yards ahead of me, suddenly diverted from the very smooth eight foot wide paved hike and bike path and chose to ride on the rather busy street paralleling the path. I asked myself, "Why leave a perfectly good path?" Not 20 yards later, I understood. There in front of me about 25 feet away was a gigantic bull moose on the path peacefully nibbling tender shoots and leaves of the surrounding vegetation. Never being a "path-hog" myself, I decided that as nice as the path was, a quick detour up onto the highway shoulder for 30 or 40 yards might not be a bad idea. As I pulled abreast of the big moose with his big rack, he just eyed me and kept peacefully nibbling his breakfast. A couple of hundred yards later, I saw a female jogger approaching from the opposite direction and tipped her off about the moose. She went, "Oh my!" and also decided that being a path-hog was not a wise idea. I must say he was a gorgeous animal and a nice welcome to Teton Valley."

PERFECT GETAWAY FOR NATURE AND PRIVACY!

  • 5 of 5
Couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay for our vacation! My girlfriend recently finished schooling, was about to start her new job, and had a birthday all in the same week. This was our opportunity to getaway before her job. We were looking for a cozy little private area where we would be exposed to a lot of nature and wildlife. Between Becky and Jayne's recommendations, the privacy they extended to us, and the natural beauty of the surrounding area - it was an absolute perfect setup for what we wanted! The hospitality of Becky and Jayne goes beyone words and I am forever grateful for what they provided to us. Our hosts made some great recommendations for hikes, dining, and local activities. I thank you both for the experience we had and you can certainly bet we will be coming back as soon as we can! Thank you both again!
