Wide pine floor boards, open plan, merges kitchen, dining & sitting with three fireplaces, one woodburning. 4 bedrooms with new beds. 2 full bathrooms. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Study with computer and French doors that open to patio with meadow, mountain, & birch woods view. 'Great Room' with cathedral ceiling, wood-stove, 2 glass sliders overlooking 8 acre pond below offering canoeing, kayaking and swimming (no beach). Features: clay tennis court, flagstone patio next to perennial flower garden has 4 chaise, new patio table and chairs. Breathtaking view of the mountains! Wildlife refuge. No houses in sight! Dial-up computer, contemporary furniture & antiques, lots of fine art & sunny views and good books. Dishwasher, Microwave/Convection oven, washer/dryer. Matecomet Trail is accessible from our road. (Widow Gage Rd.)

We are down the Old Widow Gage road from an Appalachian Mountain Trail, the Metacomet Trail, where you can climb up to the top of Little Monadnock Mountain.We are short drive to Laurel Lake to swim and historic Fitzwilliam village center with many antique shops. 20 Minutes to Keene NH. minutes to swimmable reservoir. We border Rhododendron State Park. We own many acres to wander and find mushrooms and wildflowers, butterflies, perennial gardens, pond for canoeing and kayaks, some swimming.

Very peaceful, view of mountains with great options for the active minded, such as tennis, canoeing and wonderful hiking trails and cross country skiing from the front door. Nearby antiquing, fine dining and access to swimming lakes.
