With no hotels in town, only local residents and visitors who rent vacation homes get to enjoy our island lifestyle. Kailua Beach was one the emerging 'hot spots' for 2007 and is routinely voted one of the best beaches in the world by Dr. Beach. Your family will love this kama'aina (local) way to enjoy Hawaii.
And why do we think it's paradise? The perfect location and an ideal place for families. Our three bedroom, two bath home and one bedroom, one bath cottage are located on a single lot, just a 2-minute walk around the corner from Kailua Beach. Pick up your cappuccino at the Kalapawai Market on your two-minute walk to the beach every morning and your shave ice (snow cone) at Island Snow every afternoon on your walk home.
Our smoke-free house and cottage are furnished in island style to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. You’ll feel right at home while you barbecue dinner on the patio, relax in the screened-in lanai, wander to and from the beach, watch movies or cable TV, play games with the family or drift off to sleep on the comfortable new beds. We also have wireless internet access for your laptop computer so that you can stay connected!
Our three bedroom, two bath home has a king, queen and two twin beds (sleeps six), living room, well-appointed open kitchen, large screened lanai, and patio with Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture. For a larger gathering, there is also the detached one bedroom, one bath cottage with a queen bed in a separate bedroom and queen sofa bed in the living room (sleeps two to four), kitchen/eating area, and covered patio with its own Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture. Both house and cottage have access to all the beach toys - boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs/mats/towels and cooler.
When you're tired of the water and lazing on the beach, Kailua town, with its restaurants, shopping and entertainment is just a mile away. And, just a short car ride away, you can swim with the dolphins at Sea Life Park, snorkel in Hanauma Bay, hike the stunning Ko’olau mountains or Diamond Head, swim/surf the North Shore, browse the 'Swap Meet' at the Aloha Stadium, sample Honolulu’s nightlife, walk Waikiki Beach or get to the airport.

My husband and I have had this property for about 15 years. At first, we rented it out to regular tenants but that limited our opportunities to use the place ourselves. Since my husband's family had lived in Kailua for many years during their high school years and had many fond memories of the island, we wanted to be able to bring our own family back to Kailua on a regular basis and create our own family memories. About 4 years ago, we decided to convert to vacation rentals and have been able to enjoy many happy days as a family here. We hope that you find our place as comfortable for your family as we do for ours!

Being located right around the corner from Kailua Beach Park means that you can go back and forth to the beach all day without loading and unloading everything into and out of the car. I love being able to pick up my latte at the Kalapawai Market in the morning before my beach stroll, and we have a family ritual of shave ice every afternoon from Island Snow (President Obama's favorite before-dinner snack with his kids!)

$500 security deposit at booking which is refundable if you cancel 60 days or more before your scheduled check-in (minus $350 cancellation fee) or is fully returnable at the end of the rental assuming no damage, long distance calls, etc.
$500 refundable security deposit due upon return of signed rental agreement. Balance of rental due within 60 days of arrival date.
