Great Place To Stay

The apartment is very close to the DLR and main line stations it is also perfectly situated within easy walking distance of the Thames Path which is a great place to walk. The views from the terrace a great particularly as the sun sets in the evening. The apartment was clean. The kitchen area is well equipped with cleaning equipment and cooking utensils. The beds are very comfortable and all bed linen was very clean. The apartment living area can get rather hot as the sun shines directly on it in the afternoons and there are no curtains or blinds. The owners should really try to remedy this. However, we opened all the windows and that made it easier. The bedrooms were less hot as there are curtains in both rooms. We contacted Phillip, as requested an hour before arrival and we were met promptly by him outside the apartment and he gave us all the necessary information regarding living there. He also met us promptly when we left. The apartment is highly recommended.

We, two couples, enjoyed our week long visit to London during which we stayed at the Riverside apartment.
Upon arriving we were disappointed that Philip was not there to meet us at check in time, but the concierge called him and he arrived 45 minutes later. We attribute that to miscommunication, but he was also a late meeting us before our departure, and we aren’t sure he would have shown up if we hadn't called him with a reminder shortly before we were due to meet . Disappointing!
The apartment wasn’t ready when we arrived: towels were hanging to dry, in the kitchen food was left in the refrigerator from a previous renter, kitchen and bathroom trash had not been emptied and the bathroom floor was not clean. The coffee pot and the kettle to heat water were stained and needed cleaning and there was a dirty wash cloth for cleaning dishes.
The apartment was modern and large enough for the four of us. The furnishings were adequate, but not particularly comfortable for lounging. The beds were comfortable, but not the pillows unless you like them very thin. On a sunny afternoon/evening, the lounge was very uncomfortable due to a lack of any window coverings to block the sun. The combination of the sun's heat and glare made the area almost unusable. Window coverings in the bedrooms also need to be improved to block the lights at night.
On the positive side, the apartment is a 5 minute walk of the Woolwich Arsenal DLR and National Railway stations, making transportation to/from London very convenient.
The Royal Arsenal "Riverside" development is very nice, with its own Tesco market, the Dial Arch Pub, a small restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and a restaurant located at the museum.
Regarding restaurants, it would be a great help if the apartment included a list of recommended local restaurants (and maybe menus) as well as other vendors that might be of use to visitors.
We did find the food and drink at the Dial Arch pub to be very good, as was the Chinese food at the "Favorite Inn" (try the salt and pepper short ribs appetizer). If you are very hungry and feel like noodle or rice dishes try the "Tai Tip Mein" noodle Bar and be prepared to share or to take leftovers back to the apartment.
With the exception of the Window coverings, no other issue would keep us from renting the apartment again. However, with a small investment by the owners and some attention to detail by the management company this would be a true 5 star apartment.

We stayed in this apartment for a week whilst taking part in the London marathon. Our first impression was that it was in a very nice secure building, in a fabulous new development, overlooking the Thames. We were a little surprised that the website didn’t include pictures of the outside since the building and it’s immediate surroundings were particularly pleasant. Inside the apartment was very modern and clean. All rooms were very generous in size, plenty large enough for a family of four. Fixtures and fittings were high quality. Overall the pictures on the website didn’t do the apartment justice as it is rather more impressive when you see it in the flesh. The balcony was huge and gave views over the Thames to the O2 arena and Canary Wharf.
Getting around was very easy. Usually we got the nearby Docklands Railway, just a couple of minutes walk away, which took us straight into London. This was very cheap and easy using Oyster cards. We also used the fast boat to go to the Tower of London, which was practically a one to two minute walk from the apartment and dropped us off right outside the Tower of London. We also used buses and the national over-ground railway to take us to Greenwich which again was very close and simple to use. We had considered taking a car but it was so easy and cheap to get around that it really was better not to bother. In particular for the marathon, due to it’s location, it was a lot less hassle than alternative places that we have stayed, to get to the start on the morning of the run. This made the morning a lot less stressful and meant that the family could come along to watch the start.
We would certainly recommend this apartment to family and friends and next time we plan to visit London then it will certainly be our first choice and hope that it will be available again.

Amazing!

I was thrilled to walk through the door of this clean, spacious flat. Amazing views, amazing amenities, perfectly clean and Philip could not have been more welcoming or helpful. This was our base for our week in London with three young boys, and it was the perfect flat for our family. Coffee, pints and groceries on the doorstep; 25 minutes to the centre on London on the DLR, or a lovely river ferry from the end of the lane into the city. I can recommend this flat without hesitation.

Impeccable Apartment; Excellent Services

The apartment is located in Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, a rather new apartment block with excellent security. The apartment is located on the top most floor - the 6th floor, and overlooking the Thames river. You can partly see the O1 arena from the balcony. Only the top floor has the balcony running the whole lenght of property.

The area is located close by to Woolwich Arsenal DLR-about 40 minutes to get into Central London at Tower Gateway station, near Tower of London. You can also take bus no 53 ( if not mistaken ) to get to Whitehall area. So accessibility is good, although the property is located in Zone 4.

There is a Tesco close by to the apartment, and a restaurant, Dial Arch within the vicinity of Royal Arsenal area. Further 5 minutes walk, you will get into Woolwich town centre, with much bigger Tesco which opens 24 hours / day, shopping street where there are Marks & Spencer, Primark, Clarks, Boots, Superdrug etc. There are plenty of Halal butchers around, and Kebab shops, so no problem for the Muslims.

The property itself, is as per advertised - even better, actually. The owner has really made up the apartment. There are 2 rooms, 1 with ensuite large bathroom. It has a double bed with good mattress although the pillow was a bit soft. The duvet and linen was of superior quality.

The other room has 2 single beds, again with good mattreses. Both rooms are equipped with good quality furniture - built in cabinets, side tables, lightings, curtains and fully carpeted. The other toilet comes with a shower room.

The common area comes with wood flooring. Amenities included are washing machine w dryer, cooking hob, microwave, fridge, oven, TV with Sky, dvd player, hair dryer, Wifi broadband etc. Even sewing kit was provided. The kitchen utensils were more than enough - pots, cookers, plates, side plates, bowls, mugs, glasses etc.

There are also washing detergent all other cleaning liquid provided. In fact, everything that we required, was there.

Lastly, the services provided by both Steve and Philips were excellent. Booking was easy, and once the deposit is paid, the property is secured. Rental is paid upon arrival, and the deposit is returned upon check out after inspection is completed - no need to wait for some time for the deposit to be refunded. Phillip even help with our luggage and showed me around the area. And no extra charges for cleaners.

We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended.
