Guestbook comments from the manager
We were thrilled with the "Villa by the Sea" in Afantou. The hosts were exceedingly helpful prior to our visit and also met us on the main road to help us find our way to the house. We were stunned to see what a beautfiful place it is. The pictures were nice, but they really don't do it justice. The hosts oriented us to the house, making sure all our questions and needs were cared for. Throughtout our stay, they were accessible, informative, helpful, and good humored, but never intrusive. The house itself was ideal for our group of four adults (two couples) and could be easily used by family groups or even one or two. The surfaces are bright and modern, and it is the cleanest rental I have stayed in thus far. The sheets and towels were fresh and gleaming white. It truly felt like staying in a nice hotel - but with lots of room! The kitchen has high end appliances, and worked very well for preparing meals. Both upstairs bedrooms have private balconies looking out over lovely meadows to the sea. The house is a short walk to the wide, uncrowded beach. We used the pool several times during our 4 days at the house. It was perfect for us, and we enjoyed grilling some meals outdoors and eating them on the covered terrace by the pool.
The house is just down the lane from an excellent supermarket. We did all our food shopping there, and it was easy to run back to the store for additional items needed. The location is ideal in that it is a quick drive to the airport and it is located mid-way between Rhodes Town (with its amazing medieval walled city and palace) and the old city of Lindos (with it's Acropolis and the gorgous St. Paul's Bay.
II cannot recommend this home highly enough, and if I am ever back in Rhodes, I will look forward to staying there again.
