Awesome Waterfront Cottage with all amenities

We were blown away at the view when we arrived at this quaint cottage. The cottage was immaculate, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. We were surprised at how many attractions were so close to this area. We had a very fun filled week. Leslie and Gordon could not have been more accommodating. We were told of a beautiful sand beach about a 5 minute wooded walk from the cottage and what a treasure! We hunted for sea glass and even did a little swimming. We had brought a picnic with us and had a scruptuous buffet on the beach! Our days started out with a blueberry muffin and a cup of coffee on the deck, watching the lobstermen hauling in their catch. One lazy afternoon, I took my book down to the shore in front of the cottage and lounged in the sun on my lawn chair. What a beautiful place for a midnight bonfire. On our one foggy day, we found puzzles, games, and were surprised that the sattelite TV had the pay stations, so we had plenty to do. One day, I asked Leslie where I could get lobsters and, low and behold, her husband is a lobsterman, and brought lobsters right to our door. He even gave us a lesson on eating them. Here is a wrap up of our day excursions: Mount Batty (beautiful views), Ferry ride to Monhegan Island, shopping in Camden (and saw the Windjammer ships), the Farnsworth Art Museum (Andrew Wyeth central), and here is a list of the many lighthouses we visited (Owls Head Light, Marshall Point, Pemaquid, and our furthest adventure to Acadia National Park and the Bass Harbor Light). Wow, what a week. We will be back. Overall, it was our best Maine vacation ever!!!
