Kingsbridge Cottage Rental Photos and Description
Jasmine Cottage - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
The cottage is in the village of Frogmore, a pretty Devon village and one which has managed to hang on to its pub, the excellent Globe Inn just one minute's walk, its Post Office and the locally renowned Frogmore Bakery & General Stores. You can enjoy views of Frogmore Creek while you relax on the sunny terraced seating area a few yards up from the house.
The village is perfectly placed to reach the best sandy South Devon beaches in just a few minutes drive. Or you can drive Portlemouth and catch the ferry across to Salcombe or down the river to the family friendly South Sands beach.
The cottage itself is cozy and well furnished with a wood burning stove in the sitting room and plenty of space for up to 6 guests.
Inside: Downstairs there is a well furnished and very snug sitting room with comfortable sofas, a television and a wood burning stove with plenty of logs to get you started.
There's also a large downstairs cloakroom with WC and basin. The large open plan kitchen is very well fitted out with all the expected mod cons. It has a large dining table that seats 6 comfortably and a separate round table with chairs for extra flexibility. Beyond that is a second reception room with a sofa which can also be used as a childrens play room.
The upstairs bedrooms have view across to Frogmore Creek which is just off the Salcombe Estuary. Upstairs three are three double bedrooms are well-furnished with solid wood furniture. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds, Bedroom 2 has a double bed. The first two bedrooms share the family bathroom which has a shower cubicle, basin and loo. The spacious master bedroom is ensuite. The spacious ensuite bathroom has a separate shower and bath. There are some good pictures and nautical features like the light-house cord pulls in the bathrooms and the hand rope on the staircase.
Although the cottage is fairly close to the road all windows are double-glazed which keeps any traffic noise to a minimum.
Outside: The terrace garden is set up and away from the house (about 30 yards) and has great views of the South Hams landscape and the creek. The terrace is stone slabs with a glass topped table and chairs.
Jasmine Cottage also has two private parking spaces in a shared gated court yard.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the country The place was spotless on arrival and was reasonably priced. Would definitely choose to return here again in the future!

There are superb beaches nearby, notably Torcross, Beesands and the award winning Blackpool Sands. It's also close to some of the hidden sandy coves around Prawle Point including Elender Cove, Lanacombe and Gara rock (see the beach guide on the West Country Lets website)
Salcombe Estuary is a great place for canoing or kayaking. The area is also great for cycling and walking. In fact the Tour of Britain bike race went past the cottage in September 2012 en route to Dartmouth.
And during your stay you're almost certain to find yourselves in the Globe Inn pub that's just three doors away and chatting to friendly owners Mark and Lynda. There's a pool table, regular live music and a varied menu of food using local ingredients where possible. Out of season you can also take part in the pub quiz.
Other food choices include the famous fish and chips at the Start Bay Inn and Fish & Chips at the Cod Father in Kingsbridge. And don't miss a visit to the Pigs Nose at East Prawle, West Country Let's favourite pub.
